S: What You Mean To Us
BC: 80 Years and counting!
1: My Dearest Marie: Happy Birthday My Darling!!! I remember our wedding day in Thibodaux and the Sugar Bowl Motel in New Orleans. I remember Grand Isle, La. and the mosquitoes you endured while hanging out clothes. We laughed when you threw the fishing pole in the bay. All the moves we made and how you made each new house a home. You know I can never express how gratified I am for all you have done for me. You are such a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. What else is there for me to say. I love you very much and thank you for putting up with me all these years. Love Glenn
7: I have the BEST mom!!! I really do. My Mom is beautiful, loving, caring, unselfish, always willing to help, and always there. She is one of the smartest persons I know. I love my mom. When I was young and would come home having a bad day, kids teasing me about my birthmark, she always made me feel loved and special. And she did it with such ease. That's who my mom is. She's so warm and kind. She's such a great person. I am so lucky to have her in my life. I love you!!!
8: Someone threw away a perfectly good baby !?! | I know I have the chicken pox but I'm working on dinner for you for Sunday
9: Mom, You are sliced bread, peanut butter, Classic Jazz and Fine Wine - The best of everything!! You spend your life making sure everyone around you has everything they want. You are the rock that holds it all together. Happy Great 80th birthday. Thanks you so much for everything you have taught us by the example you are. And Thank You for talking Dad into going back and picking me up after he dropped me by the side of the road all those years ago. Love, Gwen
11: My sweet Mama, When I was asked to write something for you, my mind went way way back. We used to spend a lot of time together. I have so many memories that I could probably write a book. First I want to say that I am so blessed to have you as my Mom, and my life is also blessed because of you. You have always been there and given me the best advise. (Even though I didn't always listen), I have learned valuable lessons from you. I want you to know that I thank you and truly appreciate everything you've done for me, including helping me raise my children. I am thankful that they have the privilege of having YOU in their lives as well. Remember how we used to tape ourselves on my tape recorder and then play it back and laugh? That time you were doing my hair in pig tails and I kept moving and you said "Stay still, what do ya think I'm a magic marker, I can't part your hair straight all the time". Then we would listen to it and laugh and laugh. And the time I dressed up like you. I put your clothes, shoes, glasses and wig on...if anything, we fooled Baron. I loved it when we wrapped the dog in a baby blanket and went to the mall, and no one knew we had a puppy, they thought we had a baby. Ha Ha I will always cherish the Christmas and family dinners at your house when we were all growing up. Those are times I will never forget. Not only are you a remarkable mother, you show kindness in everything you do, including taking care of neighbors kids' and aging neighbors. There's no doubt that you touched their lives also. I hope you have the best birthday you've ever had. I'm so happy that we get to spend it with you and share all of our favorite times we have had with you because there are so many and, many more to follow, I love you with all of my heart, always have and always will. Love Carol Ann
12: WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST ON THIS SPECIAL DAY! WE LOVE YOU. THE PITRE'S
14: "Warm, Welcoming, Wonderful" | When we asked Uncle George what he felt when he thought of you he had three words, Warm, Welcoming and Wonderful. He said some of his best memories were coming to visit with Aunt Althea. Althea and you would spend hours fabric shopping and he could spend time with his brother . You always made them feel like royalty.
18: We took trips
22: People came to visit
32: I have so many wonderful memories of my Grandma, its hard to just name a few. At 3 years old you took me to on my first plain ride to Thibodaux. To be honest, I don’t remember much from the trip but I do remember being spoiled with strawberry cheesecake ice cream and of course, Dean. I always wanted to spend the night with you. We didn’t really do anything but I do remember that when we where in bed you would always straighten my nightgown out so that I would not sleep on any wrinkles. Then in the morning you would make French Toast and coffee, which now I realize was just warm milk with sugar and a splash of coffee (and that’s still how I prefer it). Grandma, I have learned so much from you over the years! I just keep thinking how lucky I am that my girls have the opportunity to spend as much time as they want with their Grandma as I did with mine. I love you so much!
34: Throughought my life you have always been a constant beam of family togetherness. .With your endless love and support for each and every one of your children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren you have shown me the true meaning of family and love. When my day comes and I have grandchildren and even great grandchildren of my own I can only hope to carry myself with the same kind of grace, love, and endless devotion as you have shown each and every one of us. I love you for the person you are and even more for the person you have helped me become. I am deeply privileged to call you Grandma. Happy Birthday..
36: One of my many stories, this is back a few years ago, when I got to stay at Grandmas' house. She would play all the games with us and then send us to the bathtub. She always used to make us take a bath before bedtime.. In the morning she would ask if we wanted eggs, French toast, cereal and then milk, orange juice, milk or coffee. She was just the person who would do anything for you.. Even today she is the same. . The day I asked her if she would dance with me after her knee surgery, she looked like she was only 25 years old. Then she said, "Oh yeah, sure, let's go". That will stick with me forever!!! Her "Hi Darlin' "and "Get In Your Bed!" are in my head and heart!! Love you, Grandma - Billy
38: When I was asked to write a letter to you I was so lost; how could I even begin to write how much you mean to me? That seemed like an impossible task. Or some of my fondest memories? I have so so many wonderful, precious memories. Watching the Thunderstorms in the garage and learning just when the devil does beat his wife, going Ro-Dayin or holdin on to my drawers as you went around a corner, chasing my brothers with the wooden spoon or crawling into the softest, cleanest bed at night. No matter what we did you made sure to show us just how much you Loved us. You have always been there for me and more importantly, my daughter. I admire you so much. I can only hope that when I become a Grandmother, that I can be a fraction of how wonderful you've been to us. You've been such a blessing to me and I would not be where I'm today, if you hadn't been there for me like you have. You've taught me to a Better, Stronger, more Wonderful Woman and I Thank You for that. I Love You So Much Grandma! Thank you for being such an amazing inspiration in my life! Nicole Ann

42: my name is Kyle Lloyd Rawson and my most fond moments and memories with my grandmother are: every time i hear my name being called as Kyle Lloyd i can only hear it as grandma says it "Kall Lloyde" with her sweet southern louisanna accent :) or when we were kids and we were driving in the old red barron and Grandma would always tell me to hang on to my drawers when we would go around a cornner or down a hill, then she would say there's the man in the moon and i would try so hard to see him. all of us kids used to hang out while our moms were out and grandma would give us coffee with tons of sugar in it early in the morning and get us all rilled up.we would go out in the front garden and pour salt on all the slugs. there are just too many to name but these are just a few i think about all the time. my grandmother is one of the sweetest and caring women in the world she is the best no sorry THE BEST! GRANDMOTHER anyone could ever ask for in there lifetime and i am so priveliaged to be her grandson. i love you Grandma Happy Birthday! love kyle lloyd
44: Happy Birthday Grandma! I love you so much, you are the best grandma in the world! When I was a little kid, and I would come to your house, my favorite game to play was Booby Tap. 46: Grandma, Since the day I was born and you wrapped your arms around me, I could feel your love. I just want you to know, even though I can't talk to tell you, that I love you so much. You are my grandma and I hope you can feel my love in return. You can always make me smile because I know you are there and you bring warmth into the room where ever you are. I wished we could of spent more time together because I felt safe in your arms, but now I am too big. I want to wish you a happy happy birthday and hope you can feel the love I have for you, because it's HUGE! Love Branden Tyler
