1: Career: Civil Rights Lawyer Starting Salary: Between $60,ooo and $79,000 a year | To become a lawyer you must: -Obtain a bachelor's degree -Pass the Law School Admission Test -Earn a Juris Doctor degree (usually within about 3 years) -Pass the bar exam for the state you wish to work in
2: Law School To get into the Wake Forest University School of Law, you must have a passing LSAT score. The median GPA of admitted students is 3.57. Law school is expensive and requires a lot of hard work. Tuition at Wake Forest is $39,000 a year. Scholarships are very important for many applicants to afford school. This makes grades extra important.
3: Car: 2013 Ford Focus -Price: $17,500 -Monthly Payment: $291.00 a month for 5 years -Gas mileage: about 30 mpg. If I drive 40 miles a day and gas is $3.40 a gallon, I will spend about $136 on gas each month. -Repairs: Need for repairs is usually unpredictable, but I will set aside $500 a year for repairs that could be needed for my car.

5: Vacation: Clearwater Beach in Florida -687 mile drive= $160 in gas money for a round trip -Clearwater Beach Hotel= $8o per night. If I were to stay for 3 nights, it would cost me $240.00 -Food: about $30 per day. For 2 travel days and 3 vacation days, food would cost me $150.00
6: It will take a lot of work to achieve my dream life. School is very expensive, but I have a plan. I received a full ride scholarship at Warren Wilson where I plan to obtain my bachelor's degree. From there, I will go to law school. I do not apply for financial aid, but my family has money set aside for me. In addition to that money, I will apply for scholarships. Law school is a lot of work, but it will pay off. The average lawyer in North Carolina makes over $114,000 a year. This pay will allow me to live comfortably and afford all of the expenses of living.
