4: Abstinence Pledge There comes a time in everyone's life where they will be tempted to have premarital sex. There are many situations that can arise making this more likely to happen, but there are also many ways to avoid this situation. I will be telling you how I am going to abstain from sex before marriage. The first situation I can think of is at college parties. Many college parties will have alcoholic beverages and with alcoholic beverages come drunken people. It is more likely to have sex while you are drunk, so I will never get drunk at a party. If the temptation to keep drinking arises I will leave the party. A second situation could occur when I am living alone but dating someone. I could have my boyfriend over and be tempted to do stuff. However I will keep away from this temptation by going over what the boundaries are. I will make it clear to my boyfriend that no sex is allowed before marriage. If he chooses he does not like the rules or tries to pressure me into having sex, I will respect myself and break up with him. Temptation to have sex can occur with anyone even your closest friends. It could happen that one day my friends will be the ones pushing me to do things I do not want to do. Peer pressure is powerful but I will never let anyone push me out of my comfort zone. Hopefully this never happens but if it does, I will simply walk away and tell them that it is wrong. There tons of ways that I could be tempted to engage in premarital sex, but taking a pledge of abstinence, I will do as I say and take the steps needed to prevent this from happening. It will be hard to abstain from sex considering everyone is so sinful, but like I said I will wait until after marriage.
5: 3 Major Problems of Being Married 1. Money Spending When you get married you both will have different bank accounts and will have different habits of how to spend money. A way of solving this problem would be to take both out incomes, subtract monthly expenses an decide on an amount we will put aside in case of emergency. With the remaining money we can split it in half so we both have the same amount to spend. 2.Holidays and Family Choosing Which side of the family to celebrate holidays can be difficult. However we will solve this problem by making a plan. We will spend the holidays every other: switching off between mine and his family. 3.Decision Making It will be hard to remember that I will no longer be the only one that will make decisions. We will need to remind each other we both need to make decisions together. It is also important we do not get angry with each other if we forget.
