I dedicate this book to Brodie Greene & Josh Hamilton. For being such good role models for me and help me follow my dream and keep committing to my dream to become a Major League Baseball Player. For Josh to be such a huge Christian & for him to do what he did inspires me. For Brodie to be from such a small town like Bullard & go to the Big Leagues.

Brodie Greene was born September 25, 1987, and has played several positions throughout his baseball career. When he was a senior at Bullard High School he got a scholarship to Texas A&M. He played several positions starting at LF as a freshman & ending at SS his senior year. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds. He started playing for the Lynchburg Hillcats & has now worked his way to AA ball.

Josh Hamilton was born May 21, 1981. He is from Raleigh, North Carolina. He was taken into the major leagues strait from high school. His teammate, Carl Crawford(Also a rookie at the time) | convinced Hamilton to get a tattoo. That led to all the drugs & alcohol. He was soon suspended from baseball for 7 years. That's when his life spiraled out of control. He was once passed out on the floor of a dirty trailer with people he barely or didn't even know. He would go around to bars & always look for somebody who looked like they knew where some crack was. He met two people once who said they knew where some pot was.

That's what led to him passing out on the floor of some persons trailer that he didn't even or barely knew. His life was taking a downward spiral and it was going down quick. But there came a point where he just wanted to throw his life away and start it all over. He had had a dream that there was a man in a suit that charged at him. It didn't look like him but somehow he knew it was the Devil from that look on his face, and he just kept knocking him down until he just couldn't. That's when he woke up in a cold sweat. Once in Spring Training he had seen a cloud in the shape of the Devil's face. He'd seen something about this on TV once except the cloud was in the shape of Jesus' face. He especially knew his life was messed up then. So he decided to live for and give his life to Christ. He found a verse out of a Bible when he was flipping through it. It is James 4:7(Submit yourselves, then to God, resist the Devil and he will flee from you). At that moment his life changed. When he was helping his brother with a job of his

when he received a phone call that said he had been selected in the Rule_5 Draft by the Chicago Cubs. He was then traded to the Cincinnati Reds and yet again traded to the Rangers for Edinson Volquez. He still deeply regrets what he did and still to this day does not trust himself. He still has his own doctor to drug test him every now and then. He still rides on the verse James 4:7(Submit yourselves, then to God, resist the Devil and he will flee from you.) He also still continues to devote his life to Christ and is happily married to Katie Hamilton.

In the 2010 season Josh Hamilton led the Rangers to their first American League Championship and also first World Series. Where they lost to the Giants 4 to 1 in the series for their first World Series appearance and loss. But the thrill of finally being on the big stage must have been an outstanding experience.(Even better he won his first AL MVP that year to.)

In his Senior year Brodie Greene won the Big 12 Conference Championship as the 4th seed. Baylor as his opponent, Brodie hit a 2-run walk off homerun to beat Baylor 5 to 3. They soon made it deep into the playoffs until beaten by the Miami(FL) Hurricanes.
