FC: My Inner Struggle

4: Monster Story 3/4 Kurtis Bowling What do most people think of when they say monster? Probably things like big ferocious beasts, but I think of something else. I consider anger a monster, my monster. But not in the way that most people would assume. Most people that may have anger as their monster probably feel like it’s rather explosive. But, I feel quite the opposite about it. Because instead of being someone that explodes when their anger gets to a certain point, I pretty much keep everything inside. I can actually picture a visual representation of my monster. I see this sad creature, but still large and scary. Clearly this monster needs out, but how can I release it without it spiraling out of control? Of course, that question is the root of all the discrepancies related to this monster. As far back as I can remember I’ve had this monster. It’s never really been too much of a problem, more a inconvenience. I don’t really have a reason for what created this monster, it’s just always been like this. Maybe it’s my kind-heartedness; causing me to never want to burst out in anger. Really it has effected me that bad, I suppose my esteem as suffered the most. So throughout my life there has been a battle between me and this beast. So, seeing as how I’ve always lived with this monster, there’s a good chance that I may live with it for the rest of my life. But, I don’t feel like that’s a completely terrible situation. In fact, maybe having this monster and realizing it will help me throughout my life because I’ll be stronger for being able to overcome it. Granted, to say that I’ll overcome it is probably more false than true, because it will always be within me. With that in mind I will always try to conquer this demon, but, the fact of the matter is, you can’t just destroy the biggest factor that makes you who you are.
