2: A heart represents me and my belief in love. I am a hopeless romantic and believe in love. I know that there is someone out there for everyone. In my daily life, love is also important to me. I always make sure those I love know that I care about them. This includes my boyfriend, friends, and family. | Symbols
3: This picture represents me and my view on life. While many people either view the glass as half full or half empty, I view the glass for what it is. I would describe myself as a realist. I feel as though I am good at rationalizing about a situation without putting an overly positive or negative spin on it.
4: This picture represents the importance I place upon education. I value the hard-work and determination that i have put towards school in order to maintain good grades. To me, graduation from high school and college is the key to a successful future. | Throughout my life, I have always valued individuality. I embrace my unique qualities and know that I wouldn't be me without the imperfections. I value staying true to myself, even if it means being different from everyone else.
5: Family is something that is very important to me. I am very close to my parents and sister and enjoy spending time with them. I was lucky to grow up with such a positive and loving family. They always care for me and support me in whatever I do. It value this sense of a close-knit, supportive family. I know this is something that will stay with me throughout my life and when I have kids of my own. | Values
6: A norm in my family is that we are not allowed to text at the dinner table. This gives us the opportunity to talk to each other without technology interfering. In addition, it gives us time to bond as a family, which is important. | n o r m s
7: A norm in my family is that we are expected to treat each other with respect. We are not allowed to say anything mean to each other. In addition, we are expected to use proper manners and be respectful of our elders. This allows us to stay close as a family.
8: My iPod defines me because I love listening to music. Music can improve my mood and help me to relax. I love finding new music, but my current favorite bands are Passion Pit and Vampire Weekend. Their songs are always being played on my iPod. | Material Culture and Technology
9: I would be lost without my cell phone. This object is so much a part of my daily life. I am always texting on it in order to stay in contact with my friends and family. This object defines me in terms of my need for communication. | When I want to relax, I always watch seasons of television shows. This defines me because it is something I like to do with my friends or by myself. Right now, my favorite one to watch is The OC.
10: I included a picture of peanut butter because it is something I love. I eat it almost every day and I have never gotten sick of it. | Coffee is one of my favorite things. On the weekends, my friends and I always spend time at coffee shops and talk for hours. Our favorite place to visit is Copper Rock. This picture represents something I love, as well as a social outlet for me.
11: I am a huge Packer fan and I love watching the games on Sundays. My aunts, uncles, and cousins will often come into town for Packer games so it is always a great time to catch up with family. I love going to games at Lambeau whenever I get the chance and can't wait to attend more in the future. I included this picture because I know I will be a packer fan for life and Aaron Rodgers is my favorite player!
