FC: My Trip to Florida By: Lillia B.
This book is dedicated to Jase, my friend's brother who has lukemia
I woke up one summer morning in my warm, comfortable bed, wanting to go back to sleep. It was dark out except for the light in my parent’s room. There was A breeze blowing in from my window and although the light across the hall was on, my room was still swathed in darkness. Later, once I was up, my parents explained that we were going to the airport.
During the drive there, I realized it was still dark out.
While on the plane, I grumpily, sleepily pondered where on earth we were going. (If it even was earth, I was so tired!)
After we got off of the plane, we walked to A car company and rented A silver car. | I STILL had no idea where we were going.
FINALLY, as we drove into A Disney - themed parking lot, my brother whispered, “Are we in Disney World?” My parents pretty much DIED laughing and finally said, ”Yes, we are.” We were both SO excited that we wanted to go in right there and then.
We did go in right there and then. I did not want to go on the Rocky Mountain roller coaster but we did anyway. “Pphh,” I sighed, and followed my family to the line. Once it started, we went up and up and up and down! I was clenching my teeth and actually enjoying myself when the ride finally ended.
As we hopped off, I spied A Haunted House and asked,” Can we do that ride?” My family agreed and we went inside. | The carts closed their OWN doors and we were off. We trundled through A dark hall. We glided through A room with mirrors that reflected not us but GHOSTS. We rolled past A staircase with glowing footprints on it, and out the door.
Afterwards, we left the park and drove to A nearby hotel. By then, I was exhausted.”Mmph,” I grumbled.
But when I saw our room, I was instantly re- energized. We had A bathroom for each bedroom, two twin beds in each room, A coffee table, A kitchen, A HOT TUB, and, of course, cable TV with excellent connection.
We watched the movie 9 about dolls in the future, and (finally) went to sleep. “Good night” I said. “Good night” responded everybody. “I’m glad I was surprised, I thought. THE END.
