S: Noah and Alex, July to December 2011
FC: Noah and Alex July to December 2011
1: Short Bits about the boys Alex "hums" himself to sleep. We say Alex is "telling a story." He is attached to the "baby" Noah picked out for him. He sleeps with it every night. I was talking to Edward on the phone when I hear from Noah in the background, "Ugh... my life is over..." Edward and Noah were heading up to bed; Edward forgot something downstairs. Noah yelled from upstairs, "I'm not going to wait up here all day, ya know" Grandma Cheryl calls Noah her genius. Noah and I were watching a movie that mentioned an orphanage. Noah asked what that meant. I explained to him, that is where kids go when they don't have a mom or dad. Noah gave me a big cuddly hug and said, I don't want anything to happen to you, I love you so much. I told him mommy and daddy love him and we will always be here for him. Noah and I were talking in the car. His October Bible verse is, “The Lord is Our Shepard.” I explained what this phrase meant. A Shepard loves and cares for his sheep and leads them in the right direction. I explained how we are the sheep and the Lord is our Shepard. God loves and cares for us, showing us the light. We joked about us being sheep. Then Noah said, but sheep can't drive. And we all laughed. Edward and Noah were getting ready for bed. Edward was gathering up all the stuffed animals Noah wanted to sleep with that night. When he went to get “baby”, Noah said, I'm going to give my “baby” to Alex. I am a big boy now. He gave “baby” a big hug and kiss goodbye. Monday nights I pack a lunch for Noah for his full day of school. I asked Noah what I should pack in his lunch. He whispered in my ear, “a TV.” I said, that won't fit in your lunch bag! He whispered in my ear again, “get a bigger bag.” Last night as we were driving home from picking up Alex, Noah was thoughtfully looking out the window. “Mom, is God real?” I answered yes. Noah replied, "But I never get to see him." He is all around us in everything we see. Our proof is in the miracle of you. We have to have faith and believe. God gave us the Bible to teach us. He sent us JEsus and people got to witness that. "So I am a miracle?" Yes, you are a miracle. "And are you a miracle?" Yes. "And is daddy a miracle?" Yes and baby Alex. Look at how complex our bodies are. Our heart, our brain. God created the heavens and the earth. "You mean like the trees." Yes. I mentioned to Noah that Grandma and Grandpa Williams were coming down to visit on Saturday. Noah said, “Why you call them that Willis or something?" I laughed. Usually we refer to them as Grandma Susie or Grandpa John. I went into the explanation of last names. For example, my last name used to be Williams too before I married daddy. Noah caught on very quick; extrapolating that hence his last name is Hudson and Alex's last name is Hudson. Noah came home after spending some time with Nadia and Grandma Cheryl. He said, “Dad, I do NOT want to go to second grade. Nadia says it is awful and she gets bad headaches.”
