Oliver and Alice in Lalaland | By: Cheyanne Hall, Joyce Irankunda, and Regan Slaughter
In a place not so far away there once lived a fat cat named Oliver and a lucky ducky named Alice.
Now these were not any ordinary animals. Oliver could fly like an owl hoot- hooting in the trees. Alice could turn into anything that she wanted to, but the one thing she never turned into was a cat. She was scared of them and didn't like them around.
One day Alice was plut plut pluttering around the pond with her family. When suddenly she couldn't see her family anymore. She looked this way and that but not a single soul was in sight. As the night grew dimmer her heart started to tremor. Her heart started to beat like a drum faster and faster. "Help!" she cried.
Meanwhile Oliver was taking a lazy stroll through the park. When all of a sudden from the little pond in the corner he heard a cry for help. "Help!" the little voice cried. Looking around he couldn't see anything so he took to the air. From up there he saw a voice from way, way down there. Swooping low he saw a little duck stranded on the water.
As he got closer he noticed a huge gust of wind was coming. Picking up the duck he prepared for impact. Then the wind knocked them into a tree a few feet from the pond.
When they woke up the world was very different. The sky was pink and the grass was all blue and the trees were lollipops. "Where are we?" asked Oliver. "I think we must be in Lalaland!" answered Alice. "Well what do we do here?" oliver asked. "Easy, I run from yooouuuuu!" Alice screamed as she ran away in cheetah form. But Oliver was hot on her tail in the air
"We have to stick together!" screamed Oliver. "Why?" asked Alice. "Because its the only way to get home," he said landing in front of her.
"Don't you want to see your family again? Your brothers, and sisters, and dad." "You know where my family is?" she asked. "Yes, I saw them when I came to get you out of the pond," Oliver said. "Can you get me back to them?" she asked sadly. "Only if you will be my friend," Oliver answered. "Okay, we can be friends," she replied, shaking Oliver's hand.
Instantly they were transported back to the pond where they met because friends made in Lalaland last forever.
