FC: Meet our Family
Hi, we are Todd and Tamara. Our story is a little different than most you will read. We already have a happy family of seven children. That sounds like a big number, but we have so much laughter and fun and love in our home that we want to share it . We live on a hobby farm and have several different animals. Our kids love riding their pony, playing with the kittens, chasing their puppy, gathering the eggs from the chicken house, snuggling with the lambs and exploring the woods and creek on our property. They are excited about the possibility of sharing those fun things with a new brother or sister! You can meet them on the following pages.
Give the world the best you have and the best will come back to you. | ~Madeline Bridge | Our hearts hurt with yours as you think about your baby's future and we commend you for your choice to do what is best for your little one.
We spend a lot of time outside. Here are a few places on our land where we hike and explore. The kids love all the fun and freedom they have here to run and play and make noise.

Charlotte | Like most of our kids, Charlotte really likes to read. She also enjoys spending time in the kitchen - she often asks if she can help make supper. | Feeding the goats at Grant's Farm
Swinging on a vine in our woods | Jumping on the trampoline | Emily | Emily is a little ray of sunshine. She usually has a smile on her face . She really enjoys playing with the doll house with her sisters.
Dressing up at the Lincoln Museum in Springfield | Heidi | Holding a newly hatched chick | Heidi is full of energy. Her feet hit the ground running bright and early in the morning and she goes strong all day. She is so fun to be around.
Lincoln | Reading takes you into a whole new world | Lincoln is such a fun kid. He's full of jokes and loves to tease his big sisters. | Lego Cowboy
Garrett | Mud puddles and little boys just go together! | His birthday cake just "had" to have marshmallows on it - so his farm scene included a little marshmallow snowman. | Our sweet little guy is growing up to be quite a farmer. He loves to help daddy out with the chores around here.
It is easy to think that in a large family everyone just gets lumped together in a group. But as you can see by the previous pages, each child is his or her own person and is special in their own way. We love each one of our children so much and feel like we have a lot more love and room in our hearts to share.
When you grow up in a big family...
 ...you always have a friend.
The country is a great place for kids to grow up. They love playing with the baby animals, climbing trees, rolling down the hills, riding their pony and donkeys, and just having fun being kids.
Grandpa | Cousins | Grandma is always ready to have fun | Camping with cousins | We love to spend time with | Memorial Day Weekend Picnic
Game Night | Grandpa always has time for his grandkids | Sledding, swimming and park time with some great friends | Family & Friends
We hope you have enjoyed "meeting" us and our family and friends in this book. Although you have gotten a glimpse of our life, it is impossible to really show you, between the covers of this book, what our lives are like on an every day basis. Things like our winter evening tradition of reading out loud in front of the fireplace while everyone crowds together on the couch and in rocking chairs eating popcorn and listening to the adventures out of the latest book we are reading. And like getting together with our church family for an afternoon of visiting and games and eating. Or our spring and fall evening walks to the bridge to toss rocks into the creek. There is the excitement of watching a calf being born and the fun of watching the sheep being sheared. There are cook days with mom and projects with dad.
There are vacations and visits to grandparents and aunt's and uncle's houses. There are lots and lots of cousins to play with and lots of friends to visit. We take piano lessons and field trips. We have puppies and kittens to cuddle and play with. There are the everyday things like shopping and school, and the exciting things like trips to the zoo or the circus. We live our lives to the fullest and love spending our days with our children. We are really happy with the way our kids are growing up - close to one another and us -healthy and happy and full of love and life. There is so much that we would like to share with another child. We hope you'll consider our family as you think of where you would like your child to grow up. With care, Todd & Tamara
