The New Mr. & Mrs. Tabor July 31, 2010
This was the first day of the rest of our lives together. We were on our way to Port Canaveral to board a ship that would take us to paradise for a week. We were so happy and excited to get away but even happier to be husband and wife.
Our Honeymoon Royal Caribbean Freedom Of The Seas
DAY 1 Sunday, August 1, 2010 | Our first day was incredible. We were aboard the biggest cruise ship in the world and we were going to be in paradise for a week. We started our honeymoon by heading straight up to the Windjammer Cafe on Deck 11 for our first lunch. We could eat whatever and whenever we wanted to. We were part of the Nation of Why Not?, after all!
The first place we explored after lunch was the Royal Promenade. The Royal Promenade was lined with delicious restaurants and trendy shoppes. This is where we could find ourselves shopping at the RCCL Logo shop, having midnight munchies at Sorrento's, and partying on the promenade on parade nights.
We then visited the Dining Room to get a preview of where we would be dining each night. We later meet our waiter, Maurice, and assistant waiter, Kaba. | Leonardo's Dining Room | Our quaint table for two, 302 A | Beautiful Floral Arrangements
One of the things we loved about the Dining Room was the beautiful music coming from the baby grand piano which sat in front of a large, elaborate painting of Leonardo Da Vinci, Galileo, and Sir Isaac Newton. Each of the three dining rooms aboard Freedom of the Seas were named after these three extraordinary men.
Flowrider | H20 Zone | Rock Climbing Wall
Royal Caribbean TV | Ice Skating Rink | Arcadia Theatre
This is where the big kids play - Boleros, The Schooner Bar, Olive or Twist, and the Champagne Bar.
Casino Royale | Club Twenty | The Crypt | On Air Karaoke
Finally, it was time to go to our stateroom. We couldn't wait to see our honeymoon suite!
When we arrived at our room, Justin told me to close my eyes. When I opened them, I saw our honeymoon suite decorated beautifully for newlyweds.
Once we settled in, we couldn't wait to explore the ship some more.
We returned to our suite and were welcomed by sweet, delicious treats to enjoy as we sailed away from Port Canaveral.
We were able to enjoy sail away from our balcony. | The view was absolutely incredible.
Before we went to dinner, we enjoyed a welcome show in the Arcadia Theatre.
Our first night in the dining room was perfect. We enjoyed getting to know our waiter, Maurice, and our assistant waiter, Kaba. We also enjoyed our delicious meal. What a great way to start our first evening of our honeymoon.
 Party Around The World Parade
Our second day was spent relaxing and enjoying some time together as husband and wife in Coco Cay. We looked forward to swaying in a hammock, sipping on some Coco Loco's, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. | DAY 2 Monday, August 2, 2010
Good Morning! We woke up refreshed and ready to enjoy a spectacular day at Coco Cay. We got ourselves ready as quickly as we could just so we can claim a cozy spot on the island. We couldn't wait to find a hammock to sway and relax in.
After a relaxing day in Coco Cay, we enjoyed a delightful evening at the Captain's Welcome Aboard Reception, followed by a beautiful dinner, and continued our night of celebration at the Honeymooners' Reception.
After celebrating being honeymooners, we headed to Arcadia Theatre for a fantastic show, Marquee. | When we returned to our suite, we had some treats waiting for us to add one last 'sweet' touch to our evening.
We spent the day sailing through the Caribbean. | DAY 3 Tuesday, August 3, 2010
We ate lunch at Johnny Rockets! It was so yummy and fun! | After lunch, we relaxed poolside.
After a day of fun in the sun, we enjoyed a romantic dinner at Portofino. We enjoyed a delicious meal as we watched clear blue waves pass by.
Dancin' In The Street | We danced the night away 70's style with Graham Seymour
Welcome to St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. We spent the day venturing off to Tortola to swim with a dolphin at Dolphin Discovery. We were so excited to splash around and swim with a dolphin. | DAY 4 Wednesday, August 4, 2010
We had to ride on a small boat for a short while to Tortola. Once we arrived, we couldn't wait any longer to swim with the dolphins.
Here we go! | Hey babe, where are our tickets?
We were so excited. Once we had our life jackets on, we had to sit through a short presentation to explain some rules and important details about swimming with the dolphins.
That's Cyril, the dolphin we got to swim with. Cyril was so sweet. He immediately came up to us and loved getting belly rubs. We never knew dolphins were so lovable.
We had such a fun day in St. Thomas. We were sad to leave but decided we wouldn't be away for too long. We definitely would come back to visit!
We ate dinner in the main dining room and watched our waiter, Maurice, join the other amazing waiters and waitresses as they sang to all of the guests.
When we finished eating, we hurried back to our stateroom to watch as we sailed away from St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. Instead of saying goodbye, we simply said, "See You Soon!"
We were so excited to arrive at the next port in Philipsburg, St. Maarten. We had planned to go on a tour of the island with Bernard's Taxis and Tours. We could not wait to get started on our day in St. Maarten. | DAY 5 Thursday, August 5, 2010
It must have been the sun that made Caryn feel adventurous enough to hold a sea urchin.
As we went on our tour, we made a stop at Orient Beach to soak up some Caribbean sun. Hey, honey, where did you go?
We continued on our tour and stopped at Enoch's Place for lunch. They had the best Caribbean jerk chicken ever!
To conclude our tour of the island, we stopped at Maho Beach which is where you can stand right at the base of an airport landing strip just footsteps from the beach. We stood behind a Boeing 747 as it prepared to take off. You wouldn't imagine how hot and how fast the air was that was blowing at us. Sand was blown straight into our skin which we found even a week after our honeymoon. At the end of our tour, we said goodbye to our tour guide, The Mailman, and farewell to St. Maarten.
Best Game Show Ever! | The Quest
DAY 6 Friday, August 6, 2010 | DAY 6 Friday, August 6, 2010 | We spent the day at sea and decided we were going to take advantage of all the fun things there were to do on our ship.
Every morning, when we went to the Windjammer for breakfast, we were greeted by this fun guy who always had a smile and a warm welcome to which ever port we were in.
We were starting to get sad that soon we no longer would be joining Maurice and Kaba for dinner. It was so nice getting to know them and hearing about where they come from and where they would like to go.
Good morning! Even though it was our last day on Freedom of the Seas, we were prepared to have the best day ever. We started our day off with a Backstage Tour of Arcadia Theatre. We got to see props, backdrops, and costumes. We even got to see where former cast members signed their names after their contracts ended. | DAY 7 Saturday, August 7, 2010
We also started to say our goodbyes and thank yous to Muhassin, our stateroom attendant. He made sure that our room stayed clean and we were welcomed back at the end of the day with a fun towel animal. We just wished he would've left the waste basket alone!
On the last night at dinner, we said our official farewell to Maurice and Kaba. They truly made our honeymoon dining experience an incredible experience. We also made sure to introduce and part ways from Justin's "brother", Alec.
After dinner, we went to the Farewell Show Spectacular in the Arcadia Theatre. We were so lucky to have an amazing entertainment crew on our ship.
On our last night, we also decided to treat each other to honeymoon gifts, matching Citizen watches.
While we were sad to leave Freedom of the Seas, we were so happy to have each other and to have had the best honeymoon ever. It was the perfect way to spend the first week together as husband and wife, and to start off our marriage.. | DAY 8 Sunday, August 8, 2010
