BC: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

FC: Josh & Meg | O U R S T O R Y | In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9

Josh, | I can't believe it's been 3 years. It seems like yesterday we were moving into our dorms at school. What an adventure it has been!! I can honestly say that with each day we've been together, although certainly not always easy, I love you more and more. Long distance has not been ideal, but growing and maturing with you leaves no question in my mind that it is worth it. We have come so far, and I love looking back reminiscing all the memories we've shared. If anything, being apart has definitely taught us never to take for granted time spent together. I cherish every last second I spend with you, and am looking so forward to no more tearful goodbyes someday! You are so very special to me, and I wanted to document how precious this journey has been. Our love has proved the test of time and when I look back, it is so obvious why. I could not ask for a more wonderful, caring, God fearing man in my life. Thank you for knowing and loving me, and putting up with me like no one else could. You are my best friend and so precious to me. Happy Anniversary! I love you. Meg

about us | High School: Where it All Began. Little did we know that within just a few short months of leaving for college, our friendship would unfold to become something so much more. Such convenient timing...ha

Omaha, Nebraska 2009 | We took our very first road trip to see the Horns play in the College World Series. This was the first time you got a glimpse at my impressive narcoleptic sleeping skills. I think I slept about 10 of the 12 hours in the car. | Omaha, Nebraska 2009

Henry Doorly Zoo | We had the opportunity to visit the famous zoo across from Rosenblatt Stadium. It was so hot, as in Africa hot, but we still had so much fun. The animals were smelly...........

We spent as much time as we could together that summer, not really having a clue as to what would happen when we left for college.

COLLEGE | Rockwall to Austin: 3 hrs | Rockwall to Oxford: 8 hrs | Austin to Oxford: 12 hours | Distance means so little, when someone means so much

F R E S H M A N | Freshman year was tough. Getting adjusted to a new place, new lifestyle, and being apart was challenging. Our visits, which never seemed long enough, guaranteed a blissful weekend | YEAR

When I finally got to come visit Oxford, I was so excited that I had my clothes picked out at least a month in advance. I memorized the Hotty Toddy chant so that I would be ready for the Grove and the game. Ole Miss pulled out the win and beat LSU which was awesome, and later beat OSU in the Cotton Bowl.

our first valentine's | We had to celebrate Valentine's Day a week late due to our travel plans falling through because of bad weather. It would have been too dangerous for you to make the trek on the icy roads and so naturally the smart thing to do was wait. I however, being overly dramatic got upset because the thought of waiting a WHOLE other week to see you felt like a lifetime. Obviously I managed, and with the generous gift your parents gave us, we ate at Lawry's Prime Rib.

I love that we can be silly together...We're so fortunate to have the friendship we have as well as the love we share. I am so blessed to have found my true love and my best friend. We have such a good time together. I love you my sweet teddy bear. | "And ever has it been known that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation." - Khalil Gibran

Snow In March...go figure | Mt. Bonnell | "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." - Helen Keller

Hula Hut UT Baseball Girl Talk Concert

 A X O F O R M A L

SUMMER LOVIN' | This was an interesting summer for us. You got a job at Target working the late night shifts. Since you would work from 10pm to 8 or 9am, you would sleep during the day not leaving us as much time as usual to hang out. When you were conscious, we would see movies, and go on dates. Right before school started we spent a week in New Braunfels :)

"Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough..."

NEW ORLEANS | Our first, much awaited visit sophomore year, was a trip to New Orleans because Ole Miss was playing Tulane in the Superdome. That weekend we hung out on Bourbon Street, toured the French Quarter, ate breakfast at Cafe du Monde, and experienced humidity that we didn't think was humanly possible. | .......................

 Ole Miss vs Tulane

After Thanksgiving, we drove to Austin with my dad to watch the Texas v A&M game. It was absolutely freezing and sadly we lost, but a trip to Austin is always worth it.

Lake Pointe Christmas Eve Service 2010

NEW YEARS IN CLEAR LAKE! | so...I'm not exactly sure why we didn't take any pictures together from the NYE party. Haha These seem to be the only pictures I have from this weekend, BUT, we had a great time! We stayed with my bestie Paulina, and went to the Kemah Boardwalk, a Rockets game, and rung in the new year with our Clear Lake friends!

Sadly, we could not be together to celebrate Valentine's Day 2011, but you were the absolute BEST boyfriend ever and surprised me with two tickets to see the fantastic ballet La Sylphide performed by Ballet Austin. I took Mallory with me, and it was absolutely amazing.

 Break | 2011 | S O U T H P A D R E

 Break | 2011 | A U S T I N

This Spring Break we got the best of both worlds, because we spent time at the beach AND time together playing in Austin. After we got our tan on in Padre, we came back to ATX where we toured the Capital, ate good food, and enjoyed some Texas baseball!

ROUND UP 2011 | "Just give me 1o minutes to collect myself" | Gotta go AXO!

The Cooler | (Credit goes to Mom and her artistic abilities. The cooler was drawn, executed, and painted by her.) I only came up with the idea...and helped paint..a little.

Spring In Oxford | Don't let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your creator. Honor Him in your youth before you grow old and no longer enjoy living. Ecclesiastes 12:1

 Touring The Campus

Diamond Days | Sigma Nu played Pike in Kappa Sig's philanthropy at Swayze Field. Earlier in the week when you were hitting at the batting cages, you managed to get a gash across your face. But...it made you look tougher, and finally the scar has faded! ha | Obviously Sigma Nu won.

 WOODSTOCK 2011

Summer 2011 | Your 20th birthday! | hanging out in ATX | Josh Abbott Band | the sweetest telegram ever...who knew those things even still existed?!?

Supporting the Texas Rangers! | Mi Cocina | Lake Ray Hubbard | Late night trip to the ER after chasing down the wrapping perpetrators!

JUNIOR YEAR | And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

 TEXAS vs OU

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” Dr. Seuss

 Ole Miss vs Arkansas

 Texas vs Texas Tech

I thank my God every time I remember you. Philippians 1:3

Over Thanksgiving break, Ms. Baker took some pictures of us during the "shoot" for Christmas card pics. You thought you were so funny when you made me laugh by threatening me with a Honda Odyssey mini van. | We attempted a walking picture, but couldn't quite get it together haha

Our newest tradition when we get home for break, has been to decorate the tree. Something you always look forward to :)

This break was dedicated to lots of quality time together (as usual) and MCAT studying! Many trips to the Rockwall library, and nights stayed in while you got your nerd on. You would study and I 'd keep busy by reading The Hunger Games. We also finally managed to finish ALL seasons of Dexter! :)

We had a New Years party over at my house. Good friends, good food, and the game Whoonu. A successful night for sure!

Eli & Zoey (the other loves of our lives)

As wonderful as Skype can be, it definitely has been bitter sweet. I don't know how we could have made it this long without it, but at the same time, seeing each other only on a computer screen for months at a time gets hard, it always feels like we are "so close, yet so far", as we often say. Nevertheless, I am grateful that we have it, and that I remembered to take screen shots of you during calls that you were doing goofy things :)

 D E S T I N

I flew in from Austin Friday evening and we left from Oxford EARLY the next morning with Jay and Sara anxious to get to Destin! We got antsy in the car and somehow ended up taking the scenic route, but we finally made it in about 8 hours. We were more than ready for our week on the beach!

We got settled into the condo, took an evening stroll on the beach, and discovered how freezing cold the water was at night. (and still the Canadian children played in it as if it were bath water!...crazy) Then the whole gang of condo #205 arrived when Logan and Andrew finally made it!

DAY TWO: The weather was gloomy but that didn't stop us from a good time! We hung out in the hot tub, threw the frisbee and football on the beach, and later that night got ourselves cleaned up and partied with more Sigma Nus down in Seaside.

DAY FOUR: You made breakfast tacos for everyone, YUM! And then we spent the rest of the day getting our tan on in the sand!

All I wanted was to take some pictures, but I could hardly get you out of the water for more than three seconds. I finally managed to snag a few :)

Tuesday night we went and ate at The Red Bar, which was the most delicious seafood ever. While waiting to be seated, I ran inside to use the restroom, and out walks Troy Aikman! Apparently him and Jay are on a first name basis. haha!

"At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun." -Unknown

Our last day on the beach was so fun. The weather was beautiful, and we basked in the sun, soaking up every last bit of the beach that we could. Later that night Sara and I cooked a "family" dinner for everyone to enjoy on our last night together.

For the few remaining days of the break, I got to stay in Oxford a little while before I headed back to Austin. We watched some Rebel baseball, ate crawfish, rented redbox movies, and I even cooked dinner! All in all, Spring Break 2012 was an extreme success.
