1: Samuel is 13 years old boy who lives in the woods. Samuel's parents use to live at a city but they wanted to go some where safe and quite for Samuel to study or to think well. but then the British colony captured Samuels parents Olin and Abigael. But, Samuel didn't want to give up hope so he used his surviving skills to find his parents. | Summary | pg. 1

2: An external conflict for Samuel was when the two colonies were fighting to win that many people died and suffered. An internal conflict was when Samuel had to agree if he should shoot the two Indians. There was a winner in the book. In the end of the book Samuel had his parents back. But later on Samuel lost them again because he was going to become a soldier and had to leave his parents. | pg. 2 | Conflicts

4: The books meaning was that to "never give up" because Samuel never give up and he never did because he got his parents back well mostly saved them. | pg.4 | Theme
