1: Peg was born on November 11th 1936 in Lacrosse,Wisconsin, She loved to write as a kid.

2: Peg grew up in Austin, Minnesota. She lived with her mom, Beth and her dad, Bob. .

3: When She was a young girl she was diagnosed with Polio and spent nine months in the hospital to help cure her disease.

4: When she was eighteen she graduated from Austin High School and attended. The University of Minnesota for one year.

5: Later she got married to Carl Kehret and moved to California for two years.

6: Peg then adopted two kids Bob and Anne.

7: Before Peg wrote books, she wrote radio commercials and plays.

8: The plays that she wrote were Spirit, Dracula Darling, Cemeteries are a grave matter and Let him Sleep until it is time for his Funeral.

9: She also has won many Young Readers Awards from her children's books.

10: Peg has also been to many schools to talk about her life and the books she has written!

11: Peg is a long time volunteer. She works for a lot of animal organizations in her home town.

12: Peg has won more than fiftyYoung Readers Awards.

13: Peg now lives in Lacrosse Washington and is 75 years old. When she is not writing she loves watching baseball and reading books.

14: Peg has written many books some of them are: .Stolen Children .The Stranger Next Door .Abduction .Escaping .Small Steps

15: Review over Small Steps | Small Steps is about a young Girl named Peg who got Polio,

16: (Polio is a disease that effects the nerves that control muscles)

17: Small Steps tells her journey through polio with nine months in the hospital,

18: suffering excruciating pain undergoing physical therapy and many doctor appointments to try to treat her devastating disease I highly recommend this book!
