2: Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum is covered in ribosomes. It is the site for the synthesis of proteins and new cell membranes.

3: Nucleus stores DNA that codes information needed to conduct all cellular processes.

4: Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum Enzymes that produce lipids are embedded in this structure. Lipids are key molecules in the structure of membranes throughout the cell.

5: Plastid These organelles store food and pigment molecules.

6: Mitochondria | These bean shaped structures | metabolize food in order to | produce energy for the cell.

7: Chloroplast contain pigment molecules that capture solar energy and use it to turn carbon dioxide into food for the plant.
