2: THE CAMP TALL TIMBERS FAMILY Camp Tall Timbers is truly a family affair. Founded in 1970 by Executive Director JERRY Smith, today, his son - GLENN is the camp owner and serves as Camp Director managing all aspects of the operation year round. Jerry has a long camp history and years of experience in working with children as a teacher for more than 20 years. Glenn has been associated with camp since it's beginning - first as a camper, then a counselor and now the director.
