Hello, Let us start by saying this is the first time we've written a letter like this. What are the right words to say to someone who could possibly change your life forever? When you think of how important it is, it's overwhelming and intimidating. So we're not going to try to over-think it and do what we do best-be honest. Let us introduce ourselves we are Robert and Melissa, our friends and family call us Bobby and Missy. We are very excited about the opportunity to share our lives with you through this letter. We can't begin to imagine how difficult taking this path might be for you, and we can only hope that our letter might provide some encouragement and hope as you travel down this path. For us, being able to adopt a child is the greatest gift we could imagine. We know there are many people who are also waiting and how great many of them seem. So, we can't say we are anymore unique than them we are just a normal, down to earth couple who love each other and want to create a happy, safe, loving home for a child. We can't wait to be parents and are eager to provide affection, kindness and tons of FUN, and create great memories. We look forward to creating miles of smiles and laughter through the sharing of life's simple pleasures as well as special events and vacations! We're honored that you would consider us and if chosen, we feel excited to start this relationship together. Regardless, we thank you and wish you the best of luck and sincere wishes during your pregnancy and in life. Sincerely, Robert and Melissa
About US: We met through our dental office back in 2004. Our Dental Hygienist for years wanted to fix us up since we only lived a couple of blocks from one another. So behind our backs she made our appointments on the same day, which was a bit embarrassing to say the least, and we are grateful she did because we married three years later. We suffered three miscarriages in 3 years, but it made us stronger for what the future will bring. We have talked about adoption and know that this is the path we both choose to take. We are so excited to take this journey together and can't wait. Being from New England, we enjoy going to Red Sox baseball games quite often. You can say we are huge baseball fans! We live in a close knit neighborhood with lots of kids and great schools. We have two cats which we adore. We love spending time with our nieces and nephews. We have seven all together and they can't wait to be cousins. Back in 2008 we lost our sister-in-law in a car accident, so our niece and two nephews spend lots of time at our house. We have family nights with them where we watch movies, BBQ or just hang out. We are little kids when we are together. We love to garden , landscape, cook and enjoy going to plays quite often. Our favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas. We host Thanksgiving at our house with about 10-15 of our close family and friends. We spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with both sets of parents, brothers ,sisters and our nieces and nephews. We make our traditional lobster gravy every year and all kinds of seafood. Both of our sets of parents live so close. Melissa's live on the next street and Bob's a couple of streets over. We have a loving and supportive large family all around us who wholeheartedly support our decision to adopt. We both have great jobs. Melissa works in advertising for a newspaper and Bob in the Produce business for a large supermarket.
Our friendship blossomed into the loving, fun and supportive relationship we have now. We been happily married for 4 years. We celebrated our wedding in front of 250 close family and friends on a beautiful fall evening. Our honeymoon took place in Aruba and we reside just outside of Boston. | Our Wedding Day!
About Melissa by Robert I deeply love, respect and adore Melissa with all my heart. She is the most caring and giving person I have ever met. When Melissa and I met and no sooner became dating, I realized she was going to be the woman I grow old with. I had fallen in love with an intelligent, caring and beautiful woman who knew what she wanted in life. She is such a wonderful aunt to all of her nieces and nephews, and such a wonderful daughter to her parents. Her love of living has taught me, and she continues to teach me, that whatever you do in life, do it to the best of your ability and with passion. I couldn't be more proud to be married to her, and I couldn't be more fulfilled in life because of who Melissa is and what she means to me and everyone around her. She is so good to everyone and always puts others before herself. It is her wonderful, selfless persona that qualifies Melissa as a great wife and a best friend who loves unconditionally and compassionately.
About Robert by Melissa From the moment I met Robert, I knew I was meeting my soul mate. The feelings of happiness took over my life as a direct result of Robert's kindness, love, and fun-living attitude. He is the most wonderful person I have ever met. Whether it is his silly jokes, or just him being plain old goofy, he always keeps me smiling. Robert is a giver, always looking out for others. He is well respected at work and his colleagues love working with him because he always makes them laugh. There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't say "I love you". A kid himself, Robert is fantastic with children, he relates to them. Our nieces and nephews love hanging out with him because he is so much fun to be around. It is all his wonderful qualities that will make Robert a wonderful father who will provide unconditional love, respect, support and laughter.

About Melissa by Melissa I grew up in a city just outside of Boston. I grew up in a close-knit loving family. My mom was a stay at home mom, and my dad was a mailman. I have one older brother who has three children. I am very close to all my nieces and nephews. My grandfather(Grampy) also lived with us since I was small. My moms supportive and caring nature provided us with a home filled with love. I have wonderful childhood memories of my grampy teaching me to swim, and tie my shoes. I've been working since I was eleven years old because my parents taught us that if we want nice things in life you have to work for them. I worked at a little Italian bakery at the end of my street after school. I went away to college in New Hampshire freshman year but did not like being away from home. I switched colleges Sophomore year to be closer to home. I have an Associates Degree in Business and currently work at a newspaper in advertising.
About Robert by Robert I was also raised outside of Boston about five streets away from Melissa. I still live in the same city in which I grew up in. I have one older brother and older sister. I am the youngest of three. My mom was a waitress and my dad was a grocery manager at a supermarket. I grew up playing street hockey, riding my bike and just hanging out with all my friends. I attended college and have my Bachelors degree and have been working with the same company for over thirty years. I'm extremely close to my parents. They live five minutes away and can't wait to be grandparents. I also have a large extended Italian family with many cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews. They are looking forward to giving so much love to a special baby.
