FC: Cliff Burton

1: About Cliff Burton His influence's were Lenny Kilmister of Motorhead, Geddy lee of Rush, Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, and Jazz Bassist Stanley Clarke. His mentor was Steve Doherty.

2: Early Life Clifford Lee Burton was born on February 10, 1964. He attended Castro Valley High school in Castro Valley, California. he was an good student and he played bass guitar and piano.

3: His mom was Jan Burton, his dad was Ray Burton, his sister was Connie Burton, and his brother was Scott Burton. His parents were former hippies, that is where Cliff got his image, his hippie ideals and his attitude. His Mom was a Special needs teacher at Castro Valley High school.

4: Adulthood He was not married but had a girlfriend named Corrine Lynn and he had no kids. He was 24 when he died in 1986. | He lived in San Francisco California in the Bay Area. He never did charity work. He went to College for music at Chabot Community College in Hayward County California.

5: In his first band EZ-Street there were: "Big" Jim Martin, and Mike Bordin. They both went to Faith No More, Mike Bordin also went to Ozzy Osbourne

6: Career Cliff Burton was in multiple bands in his short life time they were: EZ-Street, Agents of Misfortune, Trauma(His first major band),and finally Metallica. While with Agents of Misfortune he wrote and played his signature bass solo (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth, and the chromatic intro to "For Whom the Bells Tolls".

7: He did multiple albums with Metallica including: Kill 'em All, Ride to Lighting, and Master of Puppets. He was inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame on April 4, 2009.

8: Death He died in Ljungby Sweeden on September 27,1986 in a bus accident. The driver claims to have hit a batch of black ice, most people believe that the driver was drunk and lost control of the bus and crashed

9: After his death Metallica released a album called Cliff 'em All, they did this because the named the album Kill 'em All. Later after that there was a book released called To Live is to Die. It's about the life of Cliff Burton and his death.

10: Legacy After his death he was cremated and his ashes spread near the Maxwell Ranch. " Cannot the Kingdom of Salvation take me home" those lyrics from the song Orion is written on his Memorial Stone. Shortly after his death rival band Megadeth made the best Non-Metallica tribute to Cliff Burton, the song was "In my darkest hour". The band Anthrax dedicated the album "Among the Living", the band Metal Church with The Dark.
