S: Ryan & Briana Adoption Profile

FC: Ryan & Briana (and Sophie)
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We are honored that you would consider us as you search for an adoptive family for your baby. The amount of respect we have for someone who would make such a selfless decision is impossible to put into words It has been our desire for a long time to be a mommy and daddy. While we have been unable to get pregnant, it has actually never mattered to us how we become parents. Long before we were married we talked about wanting to grow our family through adoption someday. We are so excited to finally be at a place where we can finally pursue adoption. You and your baby have been in our hearts for a long time, and we want you to know that, though we don't know you yet, we pray for you everyday. As you turn each page of this book, our prayer is that you will begin to get a sense of who we are. Thank you again for getting to know us. Ryan & Briana
About Us | Fun trip to the Christmas Tree Farm
Ryan grew up near Chicago, Illinois, and Briana near Denver, Colorado, and then Vancouver, Washington. We met on E-harmony in December 2006! It was an unconventional way to meet, but we found we shared the same values of family, love, faith, loyalty, hard work, responsibility and a desire to have a big family. After talking on the phone for seven months, we knew it was time to move forward so we could figure out what God had in mind for our future together. Ryan moved to Portland, Oregon in August 2007, and after dating for a year, we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Ryan proposed (a surprise to Briana!) in July 2008, and we pledged our love before family and friends in a beautiful wedding ceremony on May 30, 2009.

One of the first things you should know about me is that family is very important to me. I was very close to my grandmother before she passed in 2009. She was such a powerful prayer warrior, and she taught me to believe that I could do whatever God called me to do. I'm also probably one of the most tenacious, persistent people you'll ever meet. I go after the things I'm passionate about, and I refuse to let any obstacles stand in my way. | I hope perseverance is one of many character traits I'll be able to teach our kids. I have always loved kids, and have looked forward to being the best dad I can be. Briana says one of the things she loves about me is that I'm just a big kid myself! In a room full of adults, I am always the one adult that the kids are climbing all over like a jungle gym. I can't wait to do dad things with my kids like play catch with my boys, and take my daughters to the Father-daughter dance. | Ryan hiking in the mountains | Uncle Ryan with Lincoln | We love camping!!

I was born to be a mother. There is not a single thing I have wanted to be more than that in my whole life. When other kids said they wanted to be a doctor or a teacher or an astronaut when they grew up, I knew I wanted to be a mommy. I've always been a nurturer and find myself taking care of those around me without even realizing it. | I work for a large health organization in insurance and authorizations. My dream job be able to stay home with my kids. I absolutely love to get outside every chance I get! Hiking, evening walks, and the zoo are some of my fav activities. | Celebrating my birthday | Auntie Bri & Lincoln

We LOVE our church! When we walk through the doors, we truly feel at home. Our church family is so excited that we are adopting, and we can't wait to introduce them to the newest member of our family. We enjoy being involved in small groups, and look forward to getting involved in other ways. When it comes to our friendships, we value quality over quantity. Our friends are family to us, and their love and support through our adoption process has been invaluable! Some of our friends are also growing their families through adoption, and it has been so awesome to walk this path together. We love to hang out, play games, watch the Broncos, and hike whenever we get the chance. | Our Community

I am the oldest, and have two siblings, Bethany and Blake. We were affectionately known as the three B's, when we were growing up! My family is very close and we really miss living near each other. My parents and brother's family (wife Vanessa, Lincoln and Lila) still live in Washington State. We are so to have Bethany and her husband Richie living close to us in Colorado. They can't wait to have a new little niece or nephew to snuggle and spoil. My grandparents live just a couple of hours away in the mountains, and we visit them often. I have extended family all over the U.S., but we make a point to see each other as often as possible. When together, we really enjoy playing games!! Lincoln and Lila are so excited to have a cousin to play with!

I grew up the youngest of three brothers just South of Chicago, Illinois. We're definitely a sports family; we love watching the Bulls, Bears, White Sox and Blackhawks every chance we get. My parents, oldest brother Jeremy (wife Jackie, Gaby and Frankie) and middle brother Eric ( fiancee Becky and twin boys Benjamin and Brody) still live in the Chicago area. I also have a very large extended family with more aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins than you can possibly keep track of. Family gatherings, although a little cramped, are a ton of fun! To say that my whole family is excited for the newest member of the family to come along is an understatement. | Gaby & Frankie Big Sox Fans | Jeremy, Ryan & Eric | The Whole Gang (minus Ben & Brody) | Eric & Becky | Benjamin & Brody
Our Promise to You | We want you to know that if you choose us, we promise to love your child with everything that is in us. We guarantee we won't be perfect parents, but you can be sure we will do our best to raise your child to the best of our abilities, with God's help and the love and support of our family and friends. We commit to you that your baby will be raised knowing who you are, and they will know how much you love them. Our desire is to have an open adoption, and we promise to honor the level of openness that you are comfortable with. We promise to provide all the love, fun, security, and opportunity in life that your child could ever want. Finally, we want you to know that you will always be part of our family. You're entrusting a piece of your heart to us; how could you not be family to us? Thank you for taking the time to get to know us!! You and your baby remain in our hearts and prayers.
