FC: A Nonprofit Organization To Feed Hungry Shelter Animals | Showers 4 Paws
Our motto is: Wash one, Feed two
Our History . . . | The founder of Showers for Paws is Alexandra Garcia. Alexandra was walking around her neighborhood and a man had a card board sign asking for food for his pets. Ally gave the man enough money for a bag of food for a week but the mans pets weren't going to be able to stay with the man. He couldn't feed the pets and they would end up in the pound. Ally felt bad bad for the pets and how bad their life was going to end up. This is what sparked Showers For Paws. She got some of her friends involved, Sarah Mason, Steven and Taylor. They did donation boxes for animal food. Then mowing lawns, raking leaves, and lemonade sales. Then one day Sarah Bodnar had a great idea! To wash cars. The team loved it! They tried it out and were successful. It has grown on from there and they are now supporting many local animal shelters.
Do you ever feel bad for these hungry dogs and cats at the shelter looking at you with those sweet eyes? But you can't feed all of them?
There are hungry cats and dogs out there that need your help. What Showers For Paws can do is feed these hopeless animals and all we need from you is a car that can be washed. You can help them! | Some less wealthy pets shelters can't feed the animals living there enough food to keep them keep them healthy daily. If you get your car washed at one of our local car washes all the money you pay us will go directly to those local pet shelters in the area. Easy!
The main start for animal starvation is Animal Neglect. Animal neglect is when the owner of a pet refuses to give the animal the necessary needs for it to survive. | The pain of an animal who lingers with untreated illnesses or wounds, or without nourishment or shelter, can be tremendous sometimes even more so than those who are victims of directly inflicted violence' because their suffering is so prolonged. Animals who starve to death experience a myriad amount of painful symptoms throughout each stage of their physical deterioration.
