When the traders arrive. | Many villages were prepared for trader crusades in Africa, but were powerless due to the villagers situations, duties/chores,and lack of technology. Children were usually the captured because the parents worked in the fields. Children saw their friends, siblings, and parents captured in front of them. What they probably heard were screams,an unknown language spoken by the aliens, and maybe even gunshots.

When dirty clothes were stuffed in their mouths they could probably smell the filth of the cloth. They probably were in fear, petrified, and stricken with worry for their family and friends. They were sick from fear ,the dirty rags that were in their mouths, and the bag that confines their sight.

The Coast | Many African slaves when they saw the ocean were baffled, confused, and unfamiliar with it. Olaudah Equiano called it moving land. What slaves saw was the ship with Americans on it. They thought the Americans were devils or demons. This is the part when the slaves are taken across the middle passage. Reason why the African think they look like demons is because they look completely different from Africans. The slaves heard the ocean waves crashing into the coast, and their chains clacking and ringing.

They could must likely smell the ocean and the bags over their heads if their still there. What they felt was a awkward feeling for seeing this part of the land they never seen before and sorrow knowing that there leaving their home land.

The Affects | There are many affects that happen in Africa due to slavery. Families torn apart. It made Africans have to worry about more than they have to, like losing a child to slavery. This also takes from how many there and make the tasks around harder.
