FC: Slavery Assignment

1: In the 1400's, a few Europeans brought African slaves to Europe. But back then, the demand for slaves was very low. But In the America's, the demand for slaves was very large. This was because it was a new country, and barely devolved. Also because the America colonies was just developed, there was gold to mine, and that required a lot of work. So this is where the Slaves came in.

2: There were always slaves, all the way back to the ancient times. The only difference is that the slaves were people, not property.But it was not until the 1500's the slave trade changed. It became even more brutal.

3: In some areas there was no effect, but in smaller areas of Africa, the slave raiders wiped out communities. In other areas tension grew and started small wars.

4: In eastern Africa the slaves supported new strong states.

5: Some of the slaves were traded to Arab merchants, who sent human cargo to the Middle East and America.
