BC: SP1. Students will identify sources of energy and how the energy is used. a. Identify sources of light energy, heat energy, and energy of motion. b. Describe how light, hat and motion energy are used.

FC: Sources of | Energy

1: What is Energy? | The ability to do work. The power to make things happen is what we call energy.

2: Energy is only transferred from one form to another. It is never "used up." | Energy of Motion | Heat Energy | Forms of Energy Heat Motion Light

3: Heat Energy Heat is the transfer of energy. We use heat to cook and to keep us warm.

4: Energy of Motion

5: Energy of motion is observed when an object moves from one place to another. The food we eat gives us energy to move. Machines and living things convert stored energy to motion and heat.

6: Light Energy

7: Light Energy Light energy comes from the sun. Light is a form of energy which our sense of sight can detect. Plants use it to make food.
