FC: LIFE AS AN ATHLETE | Euodias Lee
THE WALKER | I was being placed onto the walker once again, after falling for countless times on the floor. I frowned. I detested sitting on the walker, but I guess it was the time to train myself in walking. I looked around blankly in space, and began to walk around. I went rapidly and promptly, as if I was running a race. I saw my parents give me eye contact and gave me a look. They came over to me and got me out of the walker. I began to walk one step at a time, very slowly. I balanced myself! I did it! I can finally walk freely! | June 10th , 1995
1, 2, 3, WARRIORS! | GO WARRIORS! | August 2010 | Warriors on 3; 1,2,3 Warriors! Sweat was dripping down my head. I looked at the score board, it read 24-17. Just one more point and we would be triumphant. The ball was being hit everywhere! All of a sudden, the ball was flying high in the air. It was coming towards me at top speed. I had a decision to make. Go for it, or leave it. Immediately, I jumped up and tipped the ball. WE WON! The whole team jumped off the bench and celebrated. At last, our first game ended with a victory.
 GOAL!! | March 2009
"We have to be aggressive and fight for the ball!” said my coach. I went back onto the pitch ready to score at least one goal. We were already down 5-0 and time was running out. The ball was suddenly at my foot. I turned around hastily to get an open view. I didn't know what to do. Pass or shoot. I had no time to waste, I chipped the ball up, attempting for a goal. All my teammates ran up to me yelling, "GOAL!!” I looked and noticed that the ball was at the back of the net. Goal at last.
SWISHH!! | "We got this game guys, we have to bring it home!” said my coach. 1,2,3 Warriors! I got the ball and dribbled up the court. I looked around for a pass. I passed the ball fast, but my teammate couldn't handle the ball. The ball was touched out. I right away ran back to defend. The opponent with the ball was under the basket, and nobody was guarding her! She released the ball up in the air. I instantly ran up to her, jumped up and smacked the ball. BAM! I rejected the ball away from her. I heard my friends “ooohhhhing.” I turned to them and they gave me a thumbs up.
Lets go Team! | November 2008
BIKING INCIDENT | "I’m going to grab my bike first!” I said loudly, yelling at my mom so she could hear me. I dashed out the house and got my bike and left. I got to the very steep slope going down, and pressed onto the break. I hesitated. I didn't know if it was safe enough to go down on my own. I told myself to give it a try. I began to bike down very slowly. Halfway down, I saw that my bike was wobbling around. I lost control. I tried to press the break, but it was too late. BAM! I crashed into the cement wall, and fell into the sewage water. | June 2003

BULLS-EYE! | Thump! The arrow I shot was stabbed on the blue spot on the target. I wasn't feeling ecstatic, because this was the millionth time the arrow landed on the blue. I told myself that I needed to get the bulls-eye before I would be satisfied. I got my last arrow, and placed it on the bow. With all my strength, I pulled my arm back and released. At the speed of light, the arrow was in the middle of the target! A smile appeared on my face. Bulls-eye at last!!
I CAN FLYY! | "Always remember to lean forward,” said my dad. I slipped on my protections and was ready to skate. I was nervous when I took my first step on the ice. It was very slippery. I held onto my dad's arm, and began to take very small steps. After having gone around the rink many times, I soon got the rhythm of it. I let go of my dad's arm and began to skate on my own. I did it! I can finally skate on my own! Proudly congratulating myself, my dad looked at me, and a smile appeared on his face. | MAY 26th 2000
STRIKEEE!! | With all my might, I used one hand to lift up the hefty bowling ball. I carried it over to my lane and placed it down. I was panting, trying to catch a breath. Not long till it was my turn to bowl. I lifted the massive bowling ball and positioned the ball on the floor. I lifted up the ball again with my right hand, and I swung hard. The ball rolling past at top speed. The ball collided with the pins. I couldn't believe my eyes at this point. All the pins collided together! Strike!! I was jumping up with contentment. | June 6th 2000
RUN LIKE THE WIND | November 30th, 2001 | 1, 2, 3, BEEP! The horn has gone, and the finals for the 100 meter dash has begun. I got up and sprinted as fast as I could. Everything went blank in my mind. I was only concentrating on winning this race. I was running as if had wings, gliding through the wind. Everybody in the stands were cheering me on. All I heard was my name being called loudly. When I got to the end, I looked back and saw that everybody was still running for the finish. I realized that I was the winner. I fell on the floor trying to catch a breath. I did it! At last, I was the winner. I let out a sigh of relief.
JUGGLING SKILLS | "You, you, you, you!” All I saw was eyes staring and pointing at me. I went up to the front ready for the challenge. The challenge was to see how many times we could juggle the ball. Many questions were running through my head, I was wondering if I could actually win! I got the ball and tossed it up. By this time, I could hear all my friends chanting loudly for me. My leg began to move as if they were machines. Everybody was only able to juggle the ball 2 times. I was the last person standing. I stopped juggling and looked around. I am the champ!
