3: I have eaten at some of the top restaurants in the world from Guy Savoy to Gotham Bar and Grill to Joel Robuchon. Chef Graham Heaton is a match for the world's best PLUS there is heart and passion in his work and the work of his staff. The pricing is fair and this place is far from pretentious. As a diner you must order his tasting menu--it is inspired. Last night I hosted a dinner party for 40 people and our guests were in heaven from the food to the presentation to the warm and eclectic ambiance. 7: My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner at Table 16. I am gluten intolerant and the staff was aware and attentive to those requirements. In addition, the Chef/Owner, Graham Heaton, offered us several excellent wines at reasonable cost, and we selected a Russian river Chardonnay which went very well with our meal. We enjoyed wonderful guinea hen soup, and salmon on lentils. The Chef included arugula salad before the salmon, because he felt it would go well with the meal and the wine; it was a great touch and made for a very fine meal. | The wine, meal, and the hospitality of the Chef/Owner and his staff made for an extraordinary fine dining experience, which we will repeat when we have the chance. -Anonymous, Open Table, 5 Stars

8: Someone else who reviewed this place nailed it when describing the simple joy of "a fine meal prepared by talented chefs and served professionally in a pleasant ambiance." The hostess was an absolute darling, and our server was impeccable. I ordered the chef's tasting menu and was not disappointed. - I love that they will prepare anything on the menu, and accommodate any sort of special food preference and/or allergy. - The menu constantly shifts to match what's exciting and in season. - Ordering the tasting menu means you will get to take a walk through the chef's current whims and inspiration, and his passion does not disappoint. -Andrea P., Yelp, 5 Stars

The team takes really good care of us, if we are there for a special occasion, they make sure to take special care of us! We LOVE IT! The food is exquisite! One of my greatest pleasures in life is enjoying a fine meal prepared by talented chefs and served professionally in a pleasant ambiance. It wasn't southern food, though one of the plates included grits. I enjoyed one of the best meals I have had since leaving France and Italy at Table 16 in the old downtown (late 19th Century)section of Greensboro, 600 South Elm Street. I decided on the Chefs Choice, 7 courses of small plates chosen by the chef. It | combinations and a multiple fresh fruit cheese cake for dessert. The wine selection was excellent for a restaurant in this location. The ambiance included perfect lighting and original paintings of (appropriately) food, including one of oysters that you could almost taste. The service was impeccable. I won't spend that much money for dinner often on this trip, but I will not forget | wasn't cheap ($60) but to me, it was well worth it. If this were a restaurant review I would have made sure I understood all of the | this meal for a long time to come. 19: We went here for a Valentine's Day celebration and were deeply satisfied with the experience. We ordered the tasting menu eventually, but not before we had ordered two appetizers. The tasting menu is plenty of food - we did not realize it was an option until our apps had come. The appetizers we had included sweetbreads - a first for me - which were divine. They were one of my favorite dishes of the night. Our other app was an arugula salad - a little disappointing but still good. I'm picky about my arugula (it's the ambrosia of greens imo) and my dressing. Our tasting menu was incredible. We provided no guidelines when asked. | We received crawfish (excellent) and a bouillabaisse (unbelievably buttery and sweet), some duck, delicious oysters, and a fantastic lamb dish that my husband said is the best he's ever eaten. Our cheese plate was a bit bleu-heavy (it was made locally, though). The deserts were light and delicious, though I couldn't finish them. The appetizers had taken their toll. The wine selection was excellent, the coffee was delicious, the decor is nice and the front of the restaurant is all windows, which I love. It is a tight space. The chef came to our table to ask how the meal was after we had eaten. It was an all-together fantastic experience and well worth the money - which was substantial! -Sarah M., Yelp, 5 Stars
