I remember looking out the back door of the Dutchman one day when you were very little, and seeing you and a neighbor boy on the quarter horse going around the 2 houses. I love that you - and I - survived! - Mom | 1 Corinthians 16:13 "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong." | I love that you are the best father I've ever witnessed. -Luke

I love countless things about you, but I appreciate most how our relationship as uncle and niece changed as I grew older. I began considering you as I do today - as a very dear friend. I traveled twice with you to Gulf Shores for Spring Break while I was in college. Most college girls were spending their Spring Breaks getting crazy, but I much preferred to spend the time with you and the boys. We had amazing vacations. One memory that stands out to me and to you as well, is the time we were shopping at the outlet mall. You were waiting for a dressing room to try on a pair of jeans. You wanted me there to share my opinion of your potential purchases. When it was your turn for the dressing room, the attendant told us that we could go in together. There was an awkward pause for both of us as we were processing what the attendant had just suggested. We both laughed as we realized she had just assumed that we were a couple. I came out looking like some kind of gold digger, and you, I am sure, as some sort of older but HOT stud! -Anne

IWU Basketball Games -Alex & Luke | I love when you play ping-pong with me. -Ben | I love playing the baseball game where we hit the big ball into the trampoline in the backyard. -Avery | I love that you coached my little league teams. -Alex

Taking me to The Big House and getting lost on the way. -Alex | Nerf Basketball Hoops -Luke | I love our ping-pong games with flying paddles. -Luke | I love that you bought us Yo-Yo's and taught us how to use them! You are the best yo-yoer! I like watching you do Around the World & Walk the Dog. -Selah

I remember getting a call from Mr. Cwick at the school and finding out that you had driven Grandma Roth's Chevy II across the Beauty Spot. Dad took the car away for a week. He told me that he didn't want the punishment to be too much or you would resent him. -Mom | I love that I thought I was going to have my 3rd baby in Illinois, but you ended up being born in Arkansas! -Mom | I love how attached you are to your AM radio. (You + NPR = LOVE) -Susan

27 cent coffee at the BP -Susan

I love the example you set for your sons. I continually tell Luke that if he grows into anything similar to his dad, I am one lucky lady. -Amy | You always worry about your kids, no matter what. -Alex | You always provide for us and think of us before yourself. -Luke

We love that you always put the kids' needs before your own. -Kathleen & Ben | I love that it is understood that often times the girls' needs will come above my own, above yours, above ours... and you get it. I don't have to explain or apologize. It's just the way we run our family. You are my partner in being the Rock in their little lives. Together, we're the constant that never changes. -Susan
