S: The Allen Family Goes West-November 2010

FC: The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. St Augustine

5: Riding the Cog Train up Pike's Peak

7: Pike's Peak | Manitou Springs, CO | 14,110 feet | Got Oxygen?

8: It took some great driving skills to get us through a very narrow arch to arrive here in the RV.

9: We spent hours hiking through these beautiful rock formations. A true National Treasure. | Kissing Camels | Colorado Springs

10: Red Rock Park and Amphitheater Golden, CO | We stood where the Beatles played.

11: Denver (as seen from Red Rock)

13: Dino Ridge

14: The Stafford family kindly let us stay at their guest house for a night. We drove from Golden into Denver with them for dinner at Casa Bonita, a Mexican restaurant with puppet shows and cliff divers.

15: Vail | The view driving through Vail was beautiful. We even saw rams on the side of the mountain (or at least some of us did).

16: Colorado National Monument

18: UTAH | The landscape was breathtaking.

20: Arches National Park

21: North and South Windows, Courthouse Towers, Organ, Sheep Rock, Balanced Rock and the Tower of Babel | Tim, this was my favorite part of our trip. I have never seen any place more beautiful . Thank you for making it possible.

22: Reno | We celebrated Tory's 6th Birthday with an overnight stop at Circus, Circus.

25: After months of joking about how we would get stuck in Donner Pass.--- we got stuck for hours in Donner Pass . Thank you Tim for braving the cold to put chains on the RV.

27: Lunch in Chinatown, cannolis in Little Italy, and a walk on Pier 39 to visit the sea lions. | No city invites the heart to come to life as San Francisco does. Arrival in San Francisco is an experience in living. William Saroyan

29: Ferry ride in the Bay | San Quentin | S A N F R A N C I S C O | C A L I F O R N I A

30: Muir | Woods

31: Thanks Tim for finding us a giant sequoia.

32: Surf Capital of the World

33: Huntington Beach

35: Southern Cali

36: Disney Land was ready for Christmas!

38: San Diego Zoo | This cheetah and golden retriever have lived together since they were young. The retriever calms the cheetah's behavior.

39: What's on the menu? | These animals were used as the models for Disney's The Lion King

41: Vegas, Baby!

42: Hoover Dam | We just happened to be visiting here the same day as Nana and Daddy Weeks. | Lake Mead | The RV had to go through a thorough inspection before we were allowed to drive down to the dam.

44: Nevada | These small tornado like things called dirt devils were fun to see until they almost blew us off the road. Wow!

45: A R I Z O N A

46: Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona. Not all holes, or games, are created equal. George F. Will

47: G R A N D | C A N Y O N

49: Had fun here in this old ghost town. Took a tour of the mine and visited the church that is still being used today.

50: Doc, Morgan, our Johnny Ringo, Wyatt and Virgil | The Allen Gang--Keeping the streets of Tombstone safe

51: The town too tough to die

52: Boothill | RIP

53: Lowell Observatory | Pluto was discovered here. | Flagstaff

54: Navajo Indian Reservation

55: New Mexico | Had to go through border patrol twice on our trip.

56: Sunset Crater | The painted desert can be seen from Sunset Crater. | We just happened to stumble upon this park.

57: Wupatki

58: White Sands Missile Range | Las Cruces, NM

59: We could only take pictures in one direction while here.

61: Fossil Rim, Texas | Getting up close and personal with the giraffes was amazing. Tory 's hand was munched by a European red stag she was feeding. Oh, and DO NOT feed the ostrich nor the rams by hand.

62: Dallas | Had to make a brief stop in Dallas to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I. This is our RV parked at the movie theater.

63: Memphis BBQ and Blues | The last stop on our 3 1/2 week cross country trip. Tired and ready to be home, but, wow, what a great time we've had. Thanks Tim for making it all possible.

64: Home Sweet Home | I know I complained and did not want to take this trip with or without the RV. But I have to admit, the RV grew on me and the places we saw, things we did, and most importantly, time spent with my favorite people in the world will never be forgotten.

65: My favorite place we went to on the whole trip had to be L.A. Seeing Ozzy was really cool. Thank you so much for taking us on this trip. P.S. I really liked the RV. Remi | California Love!!
