FC: The Apostrophe

2: Incorrect | The apostrophe does not belong because it is not indicating a possessive of Thursday.
3: Correct | It's = It is. "It is T minus 18 hours until the end..." | The apostrophes indicate plurals of words.
4: Correct | It's = It is. "It is just lunch." | The apostrophe features in certain Irish names.
5: Incorrect | The apostrophe is incorrect because it is not indicating that Dog's park is not there. The apostrophe should be removed to claim that dogs are not allowed at that location.
6: Correct | The apostrophe expresses time | The apostrophe indicates the omission of digits in the date.
7: Incorrect | The apostrophes are incorrectly used because garden and nursery do not own anything. This could be fixed to: "Find out more about gardens and nurseries in Selwyn." | A headline of an article was, "Find out more about garden's and nursery's in Selwyn."
8: Correct | Here's = Here is. "Here is a sampling..." | I'm = I am. "I am happy with..."
9: Incorrect | 'Your' should be changed to 'you're' because 'your' is not followed by a noun. "You can't be old and wise if you're not young and crazy.
10: Incorrect | The apostrophe does not belong because sandwiche is not an existing noun. "Sandwiches."
11: Incorrect | 'St Lukes Hospital' should be changed to 'St Luke's Hospital' in order to present the fact that the hospital is in the possession of St Luke.
12: Incorrect | The apostrophes should be removed because 'Videos' and 'DVDs' do not own anything. "Videos and DVDs cannot be returned in the book drop." | In a public library, there was a sign that said, "Video's and DVD's Cannot Be Returned In The Book Drop."
13: Correct | You're = You are. "You are in great..." | The coastal town resides in Samar, therefore, Samar's coastal town is correct.
14: Incorrect | The apostrophe is misplaced. 'McDonal' is not a noun. The apostrophe should be shifted to say, "McDonald's"
15: Incorrect | It's = It is. "It is success is..." The 'it' should be possessive. "Its success is..."
16: Correct | The east coast belongs to the Philippines, therefore, the Philippines' east coast is correct. Also, since the Philippines ends in an 's', it is appropriate to place the apostrophe after the word.
17: Incorrect | 'Your' is not possessing anything, so, 'Your' must be changed to 'You're'. "When You're In The Mountains, You're Closer to Heaven."
