FC: The Best of Times in My Family
Down Hill In the summer of 2010 I got to go to a volunteering program place almost every Monday to sign up for a program to help the city. This Monday the sign up was at 5:30pm, I was as tired as a bear going into hibernation. My dad would always pick me up saying, "Come on Jurnee we need to go!" if my mom wasn't with me. This Monday my mom also wanted me to run a mile around the track like a cheetah. Even though I didn't want to, I still had to because I didn't want to get in trouble. Since we had ridden our bikes there, we had to ride back too, like on a bike race. On our way back we always went down a hill at my brothers school. It is like when Jack and Jill fell down the hill. After the hill we went home and I was the last one in. Well apparently, my cousins tried to do a tickling trick on me and locked me out. After that, I decided to play a trick on them. I pretended that I was going to the hill and go down and then my cousins and brother were following me. I didn't want to go back home, so I sat on the green grass. They were begging me to come back. My brother stopped caring and went home. Then my cousin stopped caring and went home. Then when I finally decided to go back home my mom was in the driveway. I went inside and she was kind of freaking out. It was my time to find out what was going on, after all they told.
Dear Mom and Dad, I absolutely apologize for all of the things that I have done in the past that have up set you. Just the really super small things that even I may not have thought that I should have not gotten in terrible trouble for. This letter is just so you know that you guys mean the whole wide world to me and that I would never think about having another fantastic family. I just really want to thank you guys for putting me into volleyball since that is basically my life. I really want you guys to know that! Love, Jurnee
Mom-O-Mighty I think my mom is greatly grateful to have had me. The reason is because after the boys came to live with us, we had always been a little closer. We had also had my brother, which is great, but all of them are boys, including my daring dad. This is known as driving me and my mom nuts. Now I am the only girl, so I have to be tackling tough, but only because they fight ALOT. After all my mom is one of my best friends and she does so much for our fantastic family, but so does my dad! Just a few days ago, she was so grateful to have me to super support her. Now to me, I was super happy, that was like saying she was happy to have cream cheese pie at Thanksgiving. Which she loves very much. My mom and dad mean the world to me, but sometimes we fight like cats and dogs. I think that is just trying to say that they are trying to make me a better person by teaching me lessons. We are like squirrels and acorns. I am super happy they will always have my back, and I will always have theirs.
In April of 2010, I got to go to Hawaii for my uncle's wedding. His fiance was born in hot Hawaii, so she wanted a chance to see her proud parents and have a sure chance of beautiful weather. It was April 21st and I get to miss school for the first day. That day we packed and got on the plane for take off. Since the actual trip straight to Hawaii was to lengthy long, we had to have a lay over. Our lay over was in the gloomy side of the Earth, Seattle, Washington. It took five hours. When we finally left there, we were above the ocean and a bunch of clouds. I had the wide window seat. We arrived in Hawaii at 10:00pm, their time. I was super excited just to see the sunny state, besides California. The wedding was within the next three or so days. Then when it finally arrived, it was full of red, orange, and grassy green flowers on every corner. It was really pretty. While everyone was eating my cousin, sister, and I went to go play games on the dock. We decided we should eat the cupcakes before the others ate them all. They were yellow cake with chocolate frosting, my favorite. It was April 25th and sadly, it was time to leave. I didn't want to go yet and almost threw a fit , but I didn't. I really hope that I could go back one day.
Wife for Life Volleyball is my life I wish it could be wife It's not much of a talker It's not much of a stalker My life is volleyball Even more than the mall I dig like a shovel too And I don't like hearing boos
Today I thought it was going to go great! Well, I was wrong, I think I got my tongue in a knot. In the fourth grade, my brother and I were in my parents room watching TV. When we were watching TV, it was before school and my mom was at the store getting our lunch. While my brother was taking a nice soaking shower, I went in our bathroom to brush my teeth and finish getting dressed. Then about an hour later, I got into the bathroom to take a shower. In about another hour later, I was out and I was waiting for my mom to get home. Next thing I know, is a super small cough like "cough, cough" coming from downstairs. I decided to call my mom to see if she could call my dad to see if he had just gotten home. After we got off the phone she had called him and he said, "No". She called me back to see what was going on, I told her. By the next time I called her, she was on her way home. She said to me, "Stay on the phone with me and don't call the police." I did exactly that. When she came in, she checked the basement and all she said was that she saw nothing. Then I hugged her and was on my way.
Oh Brother! I only have one brother It is easy to get smothered My mom is a good mother But I always have my brother I help him with his homework It leaves me with a great big smirk
Today was my first day of having school lunch. To me that was not the best food to me. That day we were having greasy pepperoni pizza, some warm wheat rolls, and a choice of your drink. While I was waiting in line talking to my friends, we had to get our hands sanitized with cold, foaming hand sanitizer. I was finally at the end of doorway and I grabbed a navy blue lunch tray. First, I got my fruit. They were sun shine orange pieces of peaches. Next, was the yellowish, orange greasy pizza. By that time I was out of the doorway. It was time to get a roll, that was supposed to be as soft as a cloud! I don't really like wheat bread, but I had to because they won't let you leave without one.I went to the lynch lady with a hairnet on to purchase my food. Once I had told her my lunch number I was one my way to my classes lunch blue lunch table. When I had sat down, the first thing I did was start eating my bread. Before I had put it in my mouth, my friend stop me in a panic. When I replied, she said that there was mold on the back. I had no choice but to no longer eat my food that day. My bread was GREEN. It was an instant shock! It went from wheat to white, juts like that.
Once we moved into our new house, we got an alarm system. Once we got it, we found a remote that came with it. This remote had three or four different buttons on it. The first button was a panic button. Well, that is the button that got us in terrible trouble. This button had the word PANIC on it, so it seemed really important. The ADT person told us that this button automatically calls the police in case of an emergency. About a week later I came home from super school and then heard the door bell ring. When I answered it, I knew this was probably my worst nightmare. It was the police! Sadly my brother didn't know he pressed the bad button. The police standing at the door said in a deep voice, "Hi, what is your emergency?" My heart started racing like a cheetah. I had no idea what to say, so then my mouth started watering like there was a tiny pool in my mouth. All I could think of saying was, "Sorry, but there is no emergency." I was super scared. The only choice I had after they left, was to call my mom. Once I told her what happened, he got in big trouble! He started crying because he got grounded. Then from this point on we all had to set the alarm by hand.
Pomegranate Love My mom and I love pomegranates They make me want a planet My dad and aunt love them more We get a good galore I can't eat them before I go to bed They stain my fingers red!
