FC: The First Five Years of Forever
For Dan. For all you do and all you are. This book is only the beginning of our life together, and I can't wait to spend eternity with you. You are my whole world. The light of my life. My love will forever be your.s | For Dan. For all you do and all you are. This book is only the beginning of our life together, and I can't wait to spend eternity with you. You are my whole world. The light of my life. My love will forever be your.s
It all began on December 10th 2005 when we went on our first date to California Pizza Kitchen at the gateway and then an IMAX film called "Adrenaline Rush"at Clark Planetarium. A few short months later we went to Vegas to meet Dan's Brother Matt. We celebrated my 18th birthday there, and also decided, at the Las Vegas temple, that we were going to get married
Put your heart, mind, intellect and soul even to your smallest acts. This is the secret of success. ~Swami Sivananda | You did it! | But before we could get married, Carlie had to graduate from high school. It was hard, what with all those late nights, but I succeeded and did so with gold cords!
The Proposal 3 days after I graduated from high school, Dan planned a very romantic date for us. We went up to Sundance with a picnic from Einstein Brothers Bagels, and after we ate we went for a small hike. The trail we were on was very narrow and we couldn't walk next to each other. About 5 minutes into the hike, Dan said, "Car look at this..." And I turned around and found Dan down on one knee holding my ring. It was so sweet. After coming back from the hike, we learned that the name of the ski run we were on was a black diamond called "Wedding Ring." What a perfect coincidence.

We moved to Cedar City to go to SUU. We moved into the worst apartment imaginable, in an area of town that even the missionaries wouldn't go, but it was such a great way to start our marriage. We learned how to really rely on each other because our families were a little farther away. It was a little hard starting out, what with neither of us having a job, but we eventually were able to pay the bills with Dan working at Rocky Mountain Furniture, and me working at Jackson's Dry Cleaner.
