S: The Great Depression
FC: The Great Depression
2: The Great Depression started through the stock market crash of October of 1929. It is said that the crash didn't just happen in a day, but over a period of time. | People just didn't realize what was happening. One day they had everything, and the next day it was gone. Everything they'd worked for was gone.
3: The great depression had to have been a awful experience. It effected everyone, the rich and the poor. So much poverty. I think during the depression, people really experienced what it was to be poor and not have every thing to their disposal. Only having the necessities and sometime not even that.
4: The Great Depression last almost a decade, its lasted nine years. Can you believe that? Nine years of poverty and struggling to find food and jobs. It amazes me what people had to go through
5: During The Great Depression people lost everything. Jobs, Money, Their homes, and food... The list goes on. The people lost their jobs and had so much trouble | trying to find jobs and food for their families. They had to work in awful working conditions and very low wages, if they could even find a job. Also losing their homes | and having to build your homes with what you had or living in a one room shack, worrying about where your next meal is coming from. I can't even imagine how I would get through that and if I would.
6: Everyone was affected by The Great Depression, the rich, the poor, the colored, and the whites. Everyone suffered greatly, some more than others. The colored were treated even more with disrespect, and more segregation came about because of the depression. | The rich lost all their money in the banks and the poor lost the very little they had.
8: Well because of WWII the depression ended. America sold supplies over seas to make money and it worked, that's how the depression ended and how America got our of the gutters.
