2011 was a great year for the Hussong Family
Contessa and Aria opened their own hair salon in January to help pass the time during the winter.
The girls went sledding for the first time this winter...though neither of them knew what a sled was when they saw it. Tess asked, "Is that a canoe?" and Aria said "Its a skateboard! YEAH! Skateboard, skateboard, skateboard!"
 Happy 7th Birthday Contessa!
In order to accommodate all of our family and friends, Tessa got two birthday parties this year. Friday night was devoted to all of our great friends and Saturday was spent with family.
For her birthday, Contessa wanted to get her ears pierced, so Daddy decided to get his done again. Shhhh...don't tell FedEx! | Contessa chose purple tanzanite flowers for her first earrings. She was so brave when she got her ears pierced!
Vacationing with Grandma, Grandpa, Mike and Krista was a special treat! The girls loved their first trip to Florida!
TOOTHLESS TESSA | Contessa lost her first tooth shortly after her birthday and proceeded to loose them so fast her Tooth Fairy could hardly keep up!

Merry Christmas! After attending the 9:00 Sunday morning service the girls were FINALLY able to open their presents. And, by the looks on their faces (and the ear piercing shrieks of glee) I don't think they were disappointed! Aria's favorite new gift was a digital camera--that also takes video--and Tessa's favorites were her books and fashion design kits.
Warming up by the yule log!
The girls wished for a white Christmas, and they got their wish 2 days later when we visited Nana. The girls had a great time 'tracking' one another, having a snowball fight with Daddy and building a snowman under the pine trees.
