FC: The (Mostly) Alaska Portfolio by Alison King

This book reflects in part, some of what I love about my chosen home, Alaska. I have lived here 30 years, and spent 3 previous years here early in the '70's during the Pipeline Boom Era. There are other pictures here that aren't strictly Alaskan, but may enhance the experience of browsing the book. Some of these pictures also appeared in my first portfolio, but I wanted to include them again with the other Alaskan pieces. | All of the images in this book are available as prints in sizes ranging from 5x7 to 9x12. Some may be available in larger sizes upon request. If you wish to order any of these, please email me at akgypsy@arctic.net

Some folks think this is a polar bear, so you can call him that if you want to. I just think this is a very quizzical bear. Regardless, I love him!

Ravens are such fun! I love watching and listening to them. It is great entertainment.

Being out on the water when a whale breaches is a breathtaking experience

Our National Symbol can be regularly seen in the Alaskan skies. We never tire of this majestic sight.

Happy Bear. Must have just eaten some salmon.

You may have seen this moose in the last book. She is still one of my favorites.

While not precisely "Alaskan" I decided to add this Mandala here just for a momentary opportunity to meditate.

Kitty has a present for her canine friend. | "So, do I take the mouse or the cat?"

 Dog Portraits

It's always a thrill to see the Dall Sheep in the mountains - even when you have to use binoculars.! Nimble creatures. Amazing to watch.

A crescent moon hanging in the sky over Denali. "The Great One". Mt. McKinley is its other name, but Alaskans call this majestic mountain by its Alaskan name.

These two pictures were also in the previous book, but included here in the Alaskan series, because we have such a rich coastal environment and sea life.

 Just for fun.

Seems like this little fella is waiting for something!

Sometimes a good cup of tea or coffee offers a perfect moment of peace....

This page and the next are for you fans of fantasy.
