S: Three Billy Goats Gruff Project
FC: Three Billy Goats Gruff Ms. Amanda and Ms. Angela's Preschool Class 2011-2012
1: The children decided to start this project after hearing the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. Once they showed an interest we read a variety of versions of the same story. The children thought it would be a good idea to make it a play. They decided on the characters, the script, the scenery and the costumes. Throughout the project there was a lot of hands on work. The children created pictures of the story, made the scenery (including the construction of a bridge), and sewed their costumes. They then made invitations to invite others to come and watch. This book will show the different aspects that were included. I hope you enjoy this as much as we enjoyed being apart of this amazing journey of learning and exploration.
2: We read a number of versions of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We chose two and compared and contrasted the books. The children were able to say what parts were the same and which parts were different. This helped us to write our own version.
3: Preparing the character list and the script for the play. All children participated.
7: Measuring and deciding how to make the bridge.
