1: Robert Louis Stevenson was a very famous Scottish novelist, poet and travel writer. His best known books are, Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and Strange Cases of Dr. Jekrll and Mr. Hyde. He was born in 1850 and died in 1894. He was admired by many other authors including,Jorge Luis Borges, Ernest Hemingway and Rudyard Kipling

2: Synopsis | Treasure Island is a book on adventure, heroism, and betrayal. It starts with a young boy named Jim ordered to help watch out for old enemies it leads up to an exciting treasure hunt with men who have been searching for years for treasure. The book will have you on the edge of your seat!

3: Casting | Josh Hutcherson "Jim Hawkins" | I picked Josh Hutcherson to play Jim Hawkins because I think he would be perfect for the role. He very good at playing witty and young heroic roles. His teenage charm and good looks would be great for Jim.

4: I chose Nicolas Cage to play Billy Bones because I think his mysterious face would be perfect for him. Billy Bones in the story is mysterious and a little hard-headed. I think Nicolas Cage would be great with a role like that. | Nicolas Cage "Billy Bones"

5: I chose Patrick Dempsey to play Dr. Livesey because Dr. Livesey seems smart and just handsome. I think Patrick would make a great Dr. Livesey. Dr. Livesey is witty and one of the most calm characters which I think Patrick could play very well. | Patrick Dempsey "Dr. Livesey"

6: Alan Rickman "Black Dog" | I chose Alan Rickman to play Black Dog because he's very good at playing villainous characters. One of his most famous roles is Severus Snape in the Harry Potter Saga His ability to play characters that are evil will be perfect for a role as Black Dog.

7: I chose Johnny Depp to play the role as Pew. Not only is he very talented but he has experience in [playing pirate roles in box office hits, Pirates of the Caribbean. I think he would bring mystery,evilness and wittiness to the little old blind beggar. | Johnny Depp "Pew"

8: I chose John Travolta to play Squire because he seems like he would play a very good old wealthy richman. His talent would come in handy to play a very social and wealthy man. | John Travolta "Squire"

9: I chose Jim Carrey to play Long John Silver because in his previous roles he was very good at playing a villain and a friend at the same time. I think his humor and great acting skills would really bring life to the character Silver. | Jim Carrey " Long John Silver"

10: I think George Clooney would make a great Captain Smollet. His leading roles in Ocean 13 and 14 would give the Captain some life. Not only does he have good lucks and charm but he is very talented in what he does. | George Clooney "Captain Smollet"

11: I think Adam Sandler would make a great Ben Gunn. His role in Big Daddy shows that he knows how to be funny but take control of a situation and be a great person. His role in Grown-ups shows that he would really bring Ben Gunn to life | Adam Sandler "Ben Gunn"
