 April 22-26, 2014
Green Bay to Minneapolis to Las Vegas - we lost 2 hours - or gained 2 hours however you want to look at it...!! It was hard to adjust - we were up early and Vegas was still sleeping!
The city of Las Vegas emerges out of the Nevada dessert as millions of casino lights shine brilliantly in the night sky. Established in 1905, Las Vegas is the most famous gambling destination in the world. The opening of the first hotel and casino in 1906 laid the path for the ever changing skyline of Las Vegas. The Las Vegas strip, only 4 miles long and awash in neon lights lures visitors from near and far while the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas sign, greeting visitors since 1959, invites you to experience this amazing city for yourself.
Over our 5 days here we toured New York New York, Paris, MGM, Planet Hollywood, Harrahs, Caesars Palace, The Flamingo, Cosmopolitan and spent plenty of time in the Miracle Mile Shops Mall
The View from our room overlooking the Bellagio Fountains
The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
The Eiffel Tower 50 stories high and only half the height of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. We rode an elevator up the center and had an all around view of the Strip. It was breath-taking!!
The view from the Top The Eiffel Tower Las Vegas opened on September 1, 1999, over two years after construction broke ground. The tower's rear legs extend through the hotel roof and can be seen inside on the casino floor.
V | Jami got us VIP front row tickets to this show. We were literally 5' from the stage! The show was fabulous and a once in a lifetime experience!
Vegas the Show.......takes everything you know and love about the old Las Vegas and puts it in a modern spotlight. This is the only production in town that captures the feel and attitude of the old days in Sin City. The show begins inside the famed "Neon Graveyard" where all of the now infamous lights of Vegas have been laid to rest, and goes on to tell the story of what Vegas used to be; returning the audience to the glory days of a town that once was.... (Planet Hollywood)
 Bellagio Fountains
Jami booked our room at the Bellagio and we had Fountain View Rooms. The Fountains "performed" every 15 minutes in the evening hours and the water danced to beautiful music by various artists..
We had to take a bus to Experience the Fremont Street Experience. Came back late and couldn't find our bus stop. Luckily a homeless gal told us where to go!
The Fremont Experience's nightly shows features 12.5 million lights and 550,000 amazing watts of sound at Viva Visions. And also, a variety of "characters"
The Flamingo is the only buffet we indulged in and that was a mid-morning breakfast. It was delicious, made to order crepes and omelets, fresh fruit and all the breakfast fixings! $18.99 each wasn't too bad - we filled up and just snacked the rest of the day. Bonus - beautiful Flamingos, wildlife and waterfalls!
Saxe Theater - We saw Vegas the Show Earl of Sandwich - Our Favorite place to eat Fremont Street Experience - Quite the Experience.!
M & M World World of Coca Cola
Jami humored me and agreed to take the bus to these places. It was fun- Mix and Match M&M's - $12.99/lb. | Dark Chocolate Peanut M&M's Coconut, Almond, Pretzel, Raspberry, Mint, and Free Samples!
 City Sights !
Unfortunately we were here during the day and didn't get to experience the bar and restaurant atmosphere BUT I spent plenty of time and money in the gift shop !
I'm a little bit Country and she's a little bit.......Not Country. And we did experience a bit of a generation gap too. During our Vegas Show, poor Jami didn't know many of the songs and music, especially the OLD Vegas style but she did enjoy the variety show, music and dance!
"TheCosmopolitan" Liberace's Rolls Royce and lots of bling!
 Up & Overs
I was in heaven when I saw the Crepes! Jami had a Berry Crepe and I had the Nutella. It was really hard walking past this place every time we went to our room!!
 World's Largest Chocolate Fountain
 Let The Good Times Roll
My meal choice for the day. Jami says "Jimmy Buffet Who"? Good drinks, and we were lucky enough to be entertained while dining! AND.....we did NOT finish our Nachos!
Bama Mama Mango, Pineapple, Rum and Coconut Volcano Nachos !
We were so hungry the first day we arrived that we found the first place in our Hotel to eat. The Café Bellagio - needless to say we only ate there one time. $15 Mojitos, a Greek Salad and Warm Crab Dip - $80 before tip!
Highlights I got patted down in Airport Security both times. Guess I shouldn't be wearing jeans with glittery studded bling pockets! They even checked my hands for "residue" Drinks at "Vegas the Show" were $17.00 each! We thought if we didn't order a fancy one from the menu, they would be less expensive, soI ordered a Raspberry Vodka/Diet 7-UP and Jami had a Malibu and OJ- Well, we should have just had a fancy drink from the menu because it was the same price! Fremont Street - seemed like a large fair - bands outside, lots of people and everyone with drinks in their hands! I had a frozen White Russian. There was a man "levitating" in the street, or so it seemed, we all were trying to figure out his "scheme" I saw a little boy dancing and impersonating Michael Jackson, he was awesome, and of course they all have their "tip" jugs out. We walked so much the first 2 days we had blisters on our feet, and achy bodies - if we sat too long we stiffened up! Jami got up off the bed at one point and fell to the floor, we laughed so hard we cried!
