2: THE PRINCIPAL | A LETTER FROM | _____________________ | _____________________ | Dear Will-Whatever-N-Stuff, We can hardly believe another year has gone by. This year has been particularly special to us, because of the enormous amount of growth we saw in you. Academically YES, but more so in terms of your dedication to learning and willingness to challenge yourself - joining FLOW, taking on a big part in Mystery Theater, caring for your flock, BIG HISTORY and all that math! In short, your spirit grew. On behalf of all your teachers, we want to congratulate you on your hard work. We are so very proud of you and our faith in you is strong. As you look to your summer, remember learning is not school. Be open. Learn from the world. Find the teacher in everyone you meet. Challenge your beliefs and your body. Be inquisitive. And when all else fails, go outside and listen to the quietest sound. Love, Mom and Dad (together, THE PRINCIPAL) | _____________________ | _____________________

6: You asked for academics this year....and we delivered! You took on math and we worked on complicated units that asked that you consider subjects from many angles. In a study of World War II we considered how history influenced art (and art, history), we learned how the science of gold created it's place in history and how water sustains life and exploration. Other studies included hands on projects with dad, READ to FEED, and a spider study!

20: "It has been a pleasure the past few months to get to teach the upright bass to Will, to explore science with Will, and to be a friend to Will. Will is a curious and genuine person. He always greets me with a very kind hello and is very positive and very interested in the bass and science. Of course, to me both the bass and science are quite pointless unless we are kind individuals. I feel that Will is very kind and that his kindness will extend into whatever interests him in the future. This is my wish for him and this is also what I feel is most likely for his life. Of course, I also look forward to seeing how Will's interests will shape his life in the future and hope that he will feel welcome to keep me up to date as the years roll by. As it is with all of my students, my primary wish is for their well-being. So, I end this brief note with a simple wish that Will may be most well, most happy, and most peaceful. Here's to many more years of exploration, music, fun, and authenticity!" -Aidan Plank
26: "Will is such a pleasure to have as a student. I always look forward to our lessons. He is a master of making strange sounds with the computer. I think it is really cool that you get these lessons for him (especially at such an age), as well as all the other awesome activities you have him involved in! He's a really special and creative kid (and weird!)." best, Paulus
27: "Will, your creativity makes math interesting. It was a pleasure for me to be able to learn from you and be a part of your journey. Stay focused and keep up the hard work! - Cuy"
28: "It’s always a pleasure having Will in programs. The other kids always perk up when Will is in class, and he brings a bright sense of humor to the activities. He shines in the spotlight and any show-and-tell opportunities. I also appreciate how Will always waves and says “Hello” to me when we bump into each other in town. Not very many kids feel comfortable doing that and I think it speaks well to his maturity and community spirit." - Liz Schultz, Oberlin Heritage Center
29: "Will’s youthful enthusiasm for history is an inspiration to me, and it is great to be assured that there are kids like him who will grow up and continue to preserve America’s great history." - Mary Ann Cunningham, Oberlin Heritage Center
