Brian & Molly Our First Year 2009-2010

Our first year together has been wonderful. We started in Mexico with our wedding and honeymoon, then headed back to Tulsa to start our new life together.

When we returned to Tulsa, we closed on our new house at 4317 South Sandusky Avenue on May 28th. Then, we closed on the sale of my old house at 3946 East 37th Place on June 11th.

We then headed to Kansas for a reception with our friends and family at the Holidome in Salina on June 6th. | We also attended the 100th birthday of the Union Pacific Wooden Caboose at Ellsworth on the morning of June 6th.

In July, we headed to Kanopolis for the Herrington Family Reunion and rode in the Fort Harker Parade. | We also played a lot of golf during June and July, including a stint with the Gillelands at the Indian Springs Couples Member Guest. You and Greg also played in the TCC Tillinghast.

We also took a weekend trip to Kansas City in July and watched Jacob take in his first major league baseball game as the White Sox beat the Royals. | In addition to golfing, furnishing our home, golfing, working in the yard, and golfing, we also had a visit over the summer from Chandra Daffer, a visit from Judd and Joy for their eye surgeries, you went to the Aerosmith concert, and I traveled to Chicago for an ABA meeting (and Alinea and a White Sox-Yankees game).

In September, we had a trip to Kansas to celebrate Monica and Kevin Zier's wedding with a ceremony at their house. | We were able to see the rest of the Birchers during that trip at a hotel in Salina. | You also played in the Indian Springs Member-Guest with Greg and we kept busy with community and fundraising events.

In October, we celebrated with Nick and Jessica Landon at their wedding at the Dresser Mansion. We also went with friends afterwards to the Chalkboard to continue the celebration.

October also had football, and we went to the Arkansas-Auburn football game with Richard Muse and his daughter to watch the Razorbacks beat the 17th-ranked Tigers, 44-23.

I also went to the ABA meeting in Birmingham, then traveled with Doris to Tuscaloosa to watch Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and No. 1-ranked Alabama escape Tennessee with a blocked field goal, 12-10.

We went to Schererville for Thanksgiving and celebrated Christmas then with the Aspans and the Grafton girls. Aunt Noreen, Judy, and Jonathan were also there to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.

On December 18th, we closed on the sale of your house at 1330 South Allegheny.

In December, we had a great time people-watching at the KISS concert - highlighted by Gene Simmons singing from the rafters!

In December, we went to Kansas City to celebrate Judd's 30th birthday.

We also went to Lawrence to watch the Jayhawks beat Michigan, 75-64.

We then went to Ellsworth to celebrate Christmas with the Birchers and watched Jacob open his one present.

 Christmas | 2009

We then went to Ellsworth to celebrate Christmas with the Birchers. | In January, we went to the BOG Has Been's Party at the Petroleum Club in Oklahoma City and the YLD Roast at the Paseo Grill. | You were also a good sport and went with me to August: Osage County at the PAC.

We traveled to New Orleans in January, where we stayed at the Maison Dupuy, tried our hand at cooking at the New Orleans School of Cooking, and ate at a lot of great places, including dinner at Commander's Palace, jazz brunch at Court of Two Sisters, and Oysters Rockefeller at Antoine's.

February saw us traveling our separate ways, as you went to Vegas and Primm to golf, and I went to Orlando for ABA meetings and to see space shuttle Endeavor and the STS-130 crew launch at 4:14 AM on February 8th from the Kennedy Space Center. | February saw us traveling our separate ways, as you went to Vegas and Primm to golf, and I went to Orlando for ABA meetings and to see space shuttle Endeavor and the STS-130 crew launch at 4:14 am on February 8th from the Kennedy Space Center.

Spring started off with many community events and a few trips for me to the BOK Center to see the Black Eyed Peas, Eric Clapton, and Bon Jovi. We then traveled to Ellsworth to celebrate Easter.

Our first year of marriage ended with a trip of a lifetime to Augusta for the Masters. We started the trip with a dinner at West Lake Country Club, where we had the opportunity to talk with Tony Jacklin.

We then went to the Par 3 Tournament on Wednesday and saw Tiger Woods make his debut back on Thursday at the start of the Masters Tournament, won by Phil Mickelson.

We also spent some time shopping and checking out the hot spots in Columbia when we weren't at the Tournament.

We then drove down to Ponte Vedra, Florida and visited Roy and Ann Marie Edwards, saw crocodiles at their new house, had beach and golf time at the Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club, and enjoyed catching up with good friends.

Brian, Thank you for a wonderful first year of marriage. It exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to finding out what life has in store for us. I Love You.
