S: You were six...now you are seven.

BC: You were six, but today you are seven. December 6, 2011.

FC: You were six...

1: Dearest Isabel, We love you! We adore you! You are magical and delightful. Your heart and mind are full of beauty and wonder. We will love you forever. Happy seventh birthday to you, our beloved Isabel. Here are just 6 x 7 of the things we think make you fabulous. I: insightful, inquisitive, intelligent, inspiring, imaginative, innovative, interesting S: song-filled, shimmering, skillful, surprising, stunning, sweet, strong A: artistic, agile, audacious, aware, affectionate, astute, accomplished B: brave, bright, beautiful, bountiful, bubbly, bold, brazen E: exquisite, effervescent, energetic, exciting, empathetic, extraordinary, entertainer L: loving, luminous, lucky, luscious, lively, laughing, loved Juana, Sarah and Nica

2: Last year, you were six. You had a party at T-Dot Tumblers to celebrate.

3: We celebrated Christmas and Chanukah a little early...

4: ...and we took a long flight to Uruguay.

21: When you came back from Uruguay, there was a lot of snow waiting for you in Toronto.

22: You jumped, flipped and bounced at UofT gymnastics.

23: You celebrated birthdays.

24: You made fluffy pink marshmellows from scratch. | You spent a winter PD day with Dessa, Hannah and Nora. | We balanced out the fluffy with a little broccoli.

25: You made snowflakes and hung them from the ceiling in the kitchen - our own magical snow fall.

26: You made winter fires and snow forts with Mama, Mami, Nica, Nora, Bill and Anne in Muskoka.

27: You had play dates (and snow cones) with Charlie Jane, Holden and Michelle.

29: Nico tried to teach you how to skateboard. | Nina took you to the park.

30: Tio Martin treated you to shrimp. (You were a little disappointed that there wasn't any octopus on the menu). | You visited with Tia Carola and went to the Children`s Museum.

31: You went to the aquarium.

35: You went to sugar bush at the Kortright centre.

36: Y | You went to Harbourfront and watched the sailing ships on Lake Ontario.

37: You went to the dentist (and had a good time).

38: You finished Grade 1 in Velvet's class at the Grove Community School. At the end of year party, you, Nora, Estella, Charlie, Ruby, Hannah and Charlie got (almost) buck naked and danced in the yard like wild monkeys. | You celebrated the end of a fantastic year with the "Cycling Giants".

39: We celebrated the end of the school year at Canada's Wonderland (with Nora and Nica). We had to drag you away from the water slide. | We celebrated at Canada's Wonderland.

40: You swung, hung, twirled and curled at Cirque-ability.

41: Swim! Bike! Run! You completed your first triathlon with Tri-Kids at Appleby College in Oakville.

42: You went to Hillside. | And to Black Creek Pioneer Village. | You rocked out at Hillside Music Festival in Guelph. | You stepped back in time at Black Creek Pioneer Village.

43: You travelled to Killarney, climbed the rocks at the lighthouse and got ready to paddle...

44: You hiked the portage and helped to carry the gear.

46: You set up a store, ground Fruit Loops through the coffee grinder and explored the creek at the Mill.

47: You took the Glenora Ferry on your way from the Mill to Mazinaw.

48: You hiked the Cliff Top trail at Bon Echo Provincial Park.

49: You made pancakes, all on your very own, for the very first time. They were delicious.

50: You went to the CNE. You were a daredevil and preferred the fast rides (this one was too slow for you). | You learned to ride a two-wheeler (no training wheels, no kidding).

52: You are like the earth, full of life and love, round, always turning... your head, wondering, "What's in between?" asking, "why?" and "why not?" You are curious like the clouds, and thoughtful like the shade, You are kind like a breeze, and smart like a spider, always thinking, spinning webs and making connections. You are electric like a storm, and graceful like a bird. You are strong like roots, reaching deep into the ground. | You are proud like a full moon, reflective, open and bright. You are sweet like Halloween, and funny like a joke. You are determined, like a wiggly tooth, refusing to fall out. You are wild, like a weed, always growing, spreading out. You are nice like a story, read aloud before dreaming. You are fierce like a salmon, always swimming, until you find your way back home. You are my special Isabel, magical fairy, I believe in you! - Your Doda

54: You told Mayor Rob Ford about the kind of city you want to live in (and you may have even danced in a flash mob).

55: You went to Mazinaw for Thanksgiving. It was a really warm October. You even got to swim in the lake.

56: You hiked all the way up Wrecker's Rock (and back down again). You took a canoe out with your sister (don't worry, we had you tied to a rope).

57: You had a big feast out on the deck. You made a menu, you helped to serve dinner and you decorated the deck with leaves and candles. It was beautiful.

58: You hiked the caves at Eramosa Karst.

59: You celebrated Halloween and dressed up like a Black Emerald Fairy. | You carved this pumpkin (based on your award winning design from the WTSC contest).

63: You wrote lots of wonderful letters and love notes. You created beautiful art - even when we were out on a day hike at the Toronto Botanical Gardens.
