14: Medieval Festival | We remember Social Studies better when we act it out! That's what we did this year when we studied medieval history--castles, knights and armor, kings, courts and Crusades....
15: Community Service | ] | One thing I learned going out into the neighborhood was: "People aren't scary," "There are a lot of nice people in the community," "They enjoyed having us visit them," "I learned that I can talk to people," "I learned that even kids can make a difference," "Community service feels good!"
16: Thanksgiving Program | Grades 1-4 dramatized the story of Gideon (Judges 6,7) in “The Legend of Gid the Kid and the Black Bean Bandits.” The guitar class led “The Battle Belongs to the Lord” (2 Chronicles 20), and grades 5-8 marched in with swords and armor, reciting “The Armor of God” (Eph 6:10-18), and kneeling at the end with their swords. Inspiring!

20: The Merced River at Camp Wawona | Yosemite's Merced River (River of Mercy) is crystal clear and full of life (including us)! We had fun finding out about rocks and mountains and river ecology, catching water creatures in the creek (and falling in!), going on night hikes and learning about the stars.... Awesome!

28: Author's Evening | Each one of us in grades 1-4 wrote our own book about a memorable personal experience we'd had . . . and read it to the audience on this special evening.
29: "Living with Hope" Bible Seminar | At the Bible Seminar we get to learn to speak publicly about things we've studied in the Bible, "the best Book in the world!" It helps us have hope, gives us answers, and shows us how to live in our crazy world. We hope we made a difference to those who came.... We know it made a difference to us.
30: Track & Field | At Track & Field Day worship, Pastor Enoch showed us it's not easy to run with extra baggage! We need to "throw off everything that hinders...and run with perseverance the race marked out for us" -- in track and in life! Hebrews 12:1
