FC: Bird Hunting in Pennsylvania By Carson White

These are my dogs, Abby and Briar. They are both German Shorthair Pointers. We use both of them to hunt ring-necked pheasants, ruffed grouse, and woodcock.

This is me. I have been hunting for 5 years now, ever since I was twelve. I carry an over and under Berretta 12 gauge shotgun. I hunt with my two brothers Tyler and Nathan. I also hunt with my dad.

This is the area where we hunt. It's called Raystown Lake Wildlife Refuge. This picture was taken after the large snowstorm we had a few years ago

This is Abby. She is ten years old and has been hunting with us since she was two. The bird Abby has on the left is a woodcock. It is a very challenging bird to hunt due to its location in thick brush

This is Briar. She is four years old. We drove all the way to Kalamazoo, Michigan to buy her. She has been hunting since she was two also. She is quite small for a German Shorthair. In contrast, Abby is quite large for a g.s.p. Together, they make a great team.
