BC: All in all, there are different forms of camping depending on where you live in Alaska. Given time the different styles are easy to pick up on. Camping in Alaska is one of the most enjoyable activities to do.

FC: Different styles of camping in Alaska!

1: Here are the different styles of camping in Alaska. There are many different forms depending on where you live! Tommi lives in SouthWest AK and Elisha lives in SouthEast AK.

2: In Ketchikan, where Elisha grew up there are lots of trees and very rocky beaches.

3: In Bethel, where Tommi is from there are very few trees and mountains.

4: In Southwest we normally camp on gravel bars. In Southeast we normally camp on moss.

5: Different terrain means different forms of campsites.

6: Day in the life of Camping in Alaska.

7: There are different forms of activities: boating, camping, fishing, and hiking. In southeast we can use float planes to fly into lakes. In Southwest we mainly use boats to go camping.

8: In Ketchikan it is always raining so we constantly have tarps up. It is also really windy here. | In Southwest it is really dusty and sandy. There is also a lot of wind here.

9: In Southwest we fish for trout, salmon, and pike. In Southeast we fish for salmon, trout, halibut, crab and shrimp.

10: We enjoy the sun while it lasts ;)

11: I would rather be camping...
