Sounds Buzzzzzz a swarm of bees swiftly fly by the forest black and yellow up in the sky Here there was peace Caw, caw a crow flies over head as a beautiful rainbow forms Here there was peace Crackle, crackle a wolf runs swiftly through piles of leaves in the fall Here there was peace Bang Bang a hunter shoots a duck swimming in the pond Here there was no peace Trit Trot a horse runs merrily beside the forest This is peace Roar a brown bear lumbers through the forest This is peace Splish, splash an otter dives in the water and off into the sunset This is peace Creek, an old man contentedly in his rocking chair This is peace

Onomatopoeia I used onomatopoeia in the poem ‘sounds’. I thought it would give more sound in to the readers head. The picture they should see is animals running and flying around. Some times when you read it very carefully you start to realize how many animals there are and how important there are.

War It is always fighting, killing, destruction Not peace and kindness Not friendship, side by side Not teamwork, heads together Not partnership, alliance Not love and helping others Not working together to find solutions Not helping others in need Not problem solving and planning ahead Not co-operation, join forces War, it could be different, we must try!

Repetition I used repetition in the poem “War”. I thought it would give a message out to say that we should stop war. repetition is when you repeat the word over and over again and again. The affect on the reader is saying that we should stop war. It makes me feel sad for all the destruction we are doing to the earth.

Crashing Waves Beautiful sun rays Shine upon the crashing waves As the sun fades away | Imagery I used imagery in the poem ‘Crashing Waves’. The words that gives out imagery are crashing waves and sun fades away. The image that they should get in there head is the sun fading away behind the crashing waves. I think this was a good choice of words because it makes a wonderful experience in the imagination.

Rhyme Scheme I used a rhyme scheme in the poem “Crashing Waves”. The meaning is to give rhythm to it. The affect on the reader is that they get a beat in their head. It makes me feel very happy.

Hockey Thrilling sport Skating, Checking, Passing, Shooting, Scoring, Canada’s favorite game Working so hard you sweat Teamwork with friends Crowds cheering Crowds booing Encouragement from Dad Winter fun Ice and cold Outdoor rinks Toronto Maple Leafs

The Falling War Boom! Ahhhh! 10 people crashing to the ground Eyes closed Into the pit of nothingness And saying good bye To their last sight of earth Of blue cloudless skies One hopes to see another sight Has crashed and fallen Into a pit of nothingness And to smell Oh the great smell Of burnt toast On this black battlefield There was hope For a war to end That hope was lost Into a pit of nothingness But one man Lied down with a smile On his glowing face And that smile stays Day after day That one man hopes For piece on the battlefield That peace will arrive The madness makers Saw piece in this man Peace was gained on this battlefield

Pumpkins People always carve scary pumpkins Never nice pumpkins Never hippy pumpkins Never sad pumpkins Never welcoming pumpkins Never happy pumpkins Never plain pumpkins Never sculpture pumpkins Never portrait pumpkins At least not yet

The Maple Tree Brightly colored leaves Swaying in the autumn breeze As the maple tree Says good-bye to summer days Waving in winters long stay | Metaphor I used metaphor in the poem ‘The Maple Tree’ . I though it would give more attention to the tree in the poem. this poem is saying that trees have hard times in the winter .the winter is like a night mare to the tree in this poem you know how cold the winter can be and the tree in the poem has to go through it every year.

Rhyme I used rhyme in the poem “The Maple Tree”. I used it to make the poem have a repetitive beat. The affect on the reader is that they get a fast tune in their head. It makes me feel dull
