BC: Mid November. Summer's almost gone. Winter's coming on. It's been an exciting nine months!
FC: MacKenzie Camp 2010
In April Mary and I bought a five acre piece of property on Pelican Lake, about three miles west of Sioux Lookout. | Although it's close to town, no roads are nearby, so access is by boat or snowmobile.
All the surrounding land for several miles is Crown owned, so we have no neighbors and rarely see another boat or snowmobile at the back of the bay where we're located. We are visited by wildlife, including the bear that ripped open our little gazebo.
April and May were spent visiting the site, walking around, exploring, sitting and drinking wine. In June we chose the cabin site and I cleared trees. Jonathon Stoll began construction in July.
Still July and the Stoll crew is doing a fantastic job. We visit camp almost daily. Our friends Barb and Ed Linkewich share the excitement and frequently join us to help Christen the place
Getting there. Rosie and Boomer enjoy the view from the deck.
By the first week of August the main exterior was finished and we started staying at camp.
 Kitchen and livingroom.
 Livingroom and bedroom.
Boomer (top) and Rosie right at home.
You never know who'll show up when you're not there and turn an innocent little camp into a nudist colony (and leave a picture of themselves on your computer)!! Our good friends (from left): Arvid Hakala, Lorenzo Durante, Lorie Durante, Laurel Hakala.
