FC: The Peregrine Falcon By Haley Little

1: The Peregrine Falcon is tan with dark brown speckles on the front. On the birds back, it is dark brown with misty light brown stripes on some of its feathers. | The Peregrine Falcon lives in nests near rivers, lakes, mountains, cliffs, and the coast.

3: The Peregrine Falcon can dive at speeds close to 200 mph! It can fly that fast so it can catch its prey. It eats meduim-sized birds, bats, and rodents. The peregrine falcon sleeps during the night, so it is not nocturnal.

5: Things that are great about the peregrine falcon: Some Peregrine falcons can live longer than 10 years. Only if they survive the first year! An other interesting thing about the Peregrine Falcon is that they are also called the Duck Hawk. And lastly, most falcon eggs need around 30 days of incubation.
