FC: Rockport Botanicus | David A. Hollis

1: In the natural world, the extremes of rain forest and desert forced plants to evolve very differently based on light, heat, water, soil, and humidity. Horticulturalists and home gardeners can recreate the environments necessary to grow tropicals and succulents in the greenhouse, the living room, and, if the season is right, outdoors. By matching the conditions required by the plant; a vast variety of trees, leaves, fruits and blooms can be grown year round most anywhere. From delicate orchids to spiny cacti; to fruits, vegetables, and onto truly exotic specimens. Throughout the growing cycle, unique cultivars present themselves for fascinating photographic discovery and capture.
