1: Individual An individual is an animal of a single species that is by itself. This cat is an example of an individual because it is alone.

2: Population A population is a number of individuals in a certain area at a certain time.This school of fish is an example of a population because the fish are from the same species.

3: Abiotic If something is abiotic, it is not living. The sun is abiotic because it isn't living.

4: Pollution Pollution is when large amounts of CO2 are released into the air. These smokestacks are releasing large amounts of CO2, therefore, they are good examples of pollution.

5: Ecosystem An ecosystem is made up of abiotic and biotic factors in an area. This is an example of an ecosystem because some of the things in the picture are living and some aren't.
