3: One day everything went down hill. A jaguar strolls into the village. It then attacks Nhamos mother. Her family members then treats her bad.

4: Nhamos Aunt Chipo has a daughter that is the almost the same age as Nhamo. She treats her daughter like she is better than Nhamo.

5: Nhamo is always left doing the chores of the house. She is treated like dirt. She is never appreciated.

6: A Smile As Sweet As Spring

7: One day a sickness took over the whole village. They all set out to the voodoo man to seek answers. When they got there the voodoo man said that Nhamos father is the reason that the village is affected. He said that the spirit of a man that her father killed is torturing her people. The only way for him to leave the village is for Nhamo to marry his brother who is mean and is married to several mean and nasty women. Her grandmother wouldn't stand for it.

8: April Showers Bring May Flowers

9: Nhamos grandmother couldn't stand the fact that her daughter was going to live a horrible life. So she told her to take a boat and some supplies to travel to Zimbabwe so she could stay with her father.

10: Along her way to find her father she met different animals. She also learned how to be independent on her own. She also learns to love herself as a young woman. Another thing that she learns to use her wits and skills to survive.

11: it's always spring in a mother's heart

12: Nhamo never gets to meet her father. But she gets to live with her relatives. They aren't that friendly but she is able to get a good education. Her life will be bumpy but she has the tools to get through it.
