 Drake's gladiolas

My Hypothesis is that my plant will not grow as good as Mr.Sasse’s class because we will not have real sun we will have artificial light. Our plant will not be as sturdy as theres is. Our plant will be by the door away from the window. Mr.Sasse class will be by the window.

The variables that will remain constant are the amount of water and from the same resource. The type of container and the size of container. The type of soil and the plant will stay the same. The temperature will be the same at room temperature. Also the depth of plant and the length of the experiment. Lastly we will use the same fertilizer.

If I were to repeat this experiment, what could I do to improve the process? I would change the sunlight, because even though the seventh grade was by the window in the day they were getting artificial light and real light. In the eighth grade we could move our plants in a room with no windows just artificial light.

Did the data support my hypothesis? No my hypothesis was wrong. I thought that the seventh grade plant would be taller but I was rite about the strength and sturdiness. I predicted that there plant would be stronger than my was.

Did the data reveal a difference in plant growth between the plants grown in natural light and those grown in artificial light? Yes, In Ms Wakefield class the plants were taller and not as strong so they fell over. In Mr. Sasses class the plants were shorter but stronger and thicker.

In conclusion the eighth grade plants that recieved artificial light were talller and weak as the seventh grade plants recieved real sunlight were shorter and stronger. If you think this experiment sounds cool is because it is and this experiment taught me how to use electronics at my school.
