BC: THE END
FC: THE HUNGER GAMES: BY: SUZANNE COLLINS PHOTO ALBUM BY, PEYTON BARNES
THE WOODS: The woods are important to the book because Katniss, the main character, volunteers in the place of her sister to enter the Hunger Games and the arena is the woods. She is comfortable in this environment because she hunts daily to uphold their family needs, although hunting is illegal.
FIRE TRAP: This might just look like a pile of sticks but its purpose was a decoy. Rue was to run around and set fire to each pile. When the smoke reached the tree tops the Careers would see, automatically moving to the smoke, and giving Katniss enough time to blow up their supplies.
NIGHT- LOCK: At the end of the hunger games, Katniss and Peeta are told they have to fight to the death. Instead they decide to kill themselves by eating black poisonous berries named Nightlock. At the last second the game makers say there can be two victors so they do not have to kill themselves.
THE LAKE: The lake is an important place because it is the main source of of water except for a couple streams and ponds deep in the woods. The careers also spend most of their time near the lake.
THE HOB: This is a picture of The Hob. The Hob is the local market where people sell goods. Some of the goods are illegal like Katniss's game. It is an old warehouse partially hidden by the forest.
COAL MINES: Coal is the exported product of district 12. So the coal mines are a very important place in the book. Katniss's dad died in a mine explosion.
STARVATION: This shows how desperate people in Seam are for food, a simple piece of bread can make the difference between life and death.
KEEP OUT: This POSTED sign shows how the woods are off limits for all towns people. But Katniss and Gale hunt there anyway.
THE STREAM: The rules are changed to allow two victors, so Katniss goes to find Peeta. She ends up finding him in the mud of a stream much like this one. They seek shelter in a cave to hide from the Careers until Peeta is well.
FLOWERS: When Rue dies from a speer going though her chest, Katniss is so overcame with sadness she decides to cover Rue in white flowers. She closes Rues eyes, like shes asleep in a meadow.
FIRST NIGHT FIRE: On the first night of The Hunger Games one of the tributes set a fire in the dark of night. The vibrant fire attracted the careers and they killed her.
 THE HIDEOUT:
While Katniss was passed out from the tracker jacker bites, Rue found a bush where she could easily spy on the careers. Katniss used this hideout when trying to figure out how she was going to blow up all of the supplies.
